Hi guys, new Impulse rider here. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Impulse riders.

 

Stuff i did since i got the Impulse:

1) Change tail-lights n signal lights at Ah Gua Lane.

2) Change suspension at Ah Gua Lane.

3) IU pouch at Desker rd.

4) Smaller mirrors from LAB.

5) Custom K&N air filter from Mah Motors.

6) 2nd hand Metzler Sportec M3 tyres front n back from RaceWerks.

7) Rjays side saddlebags from LAB.

8) New sprockets n chain from Eddy Ong.

 

Up-Coming stuffs i'd like to do:

1) New paint Job

2) OWS spark plugs

3) Front Hel Brake Hoses

 

 

Fuel consumption is ard 21-22km/L. Mixing riding. Whack sometimes. Top speed just tried at 2nd link: 190km/h. RPM at ard 8-9k. Max throttle liao. Means got power-cut right? Sianzz..

hey im a new impulse owner, just started riding this classic babe 2mths back. so far fc is fantastic! 22-24 km/lt.. everything is pretty much stock, just the paint job is glossy black (one color) and coe needs to be renewed May 08.

 

an outing would be nice.

Is this Suzuki GSX Impulse same as the GSX Inazuma?

 

It is very similar, but not the same (I think so): the Inazuma engine looks like a Bandit: correct me if I am wrong:

1. ill need to change my eo soon..maybe getting rock oil, any thoughts on that?

 

2. Another thing is, what are the signs the bike might show when the need to change eo is near. cos mine at 4300km still riding w smooth gear shift, and neutral is easy to get. (usually those are the signs for the need to change eo, i think..)

1. Mmm rock oil, never use it b4 so no comments. Try it den tell us! I'll stick with Maxima for now though.

 

2. Yup those are the signs but i usually won't wait for them to show. I'll change my eo at ard 4000-4500km with new oil filter everytime.

From what ive heard, oil filter change also has its tell-tale signs, such as increased FC, etc. not too sure about that. However, changing oil filter with every eo change sounds a lil often. if you have the budget to support the motortiam's economy, why not?

Maybe its just me, but somehow i feel unsafe with my engine running on a used n probably dirty oil filter.

 

I believe if u take good care of your engine, it'll probably last forever!

yes as long as wear and tear is replaced.
