a new gasket is 400 plus i tink.. try looking for the component list in the component cost..

hi all...

I'm riding a S4 spec3 FY plate...bought it 2nd hand abt 1 1/2 mths ago.My bike seems to be lower than otha spec3...Susser preload setting is in the third position for the rear, n fork top seems to be flushed with the top clamp's top...my bike seems to be about 4-5cm shorter in overall height...

Hi fella S4ers,

 

Having EO leak on the left side of my tec1, somewhere around the front small sprocket and side stand.

 

-Wondering wat the problem could be? Due to clutch plate, cos my tech said I might need to change my clutch plate liao..

-How much will it cost to repair? (Any lobangs for recommendations)

 

Hope can get some good advices here from experienced S4ers..

I've just acquired a 2nd hand s4 vtec 2. Recently I have observed a ticking sound coming out from the right side of the engine near the radiator. Would anyone tell me whats that sound?

hi poptron, i also encounter this prob le.. it also on the right side.. but can i ask u is your tickling sound always there jus like when u start up your bike??

my steering feels kind of loose these few days, looser than when i first gotten the bike about 3mths ago. anyone can tell me what might be the problem? steerring cone? thanks

My bike has this spongey sound coming from the front wheels..

 

Dunno whether its the brake pads or disc.. the sound gets more obvious when i depress front brakes.

 

is it anything i should worry about?

Is that a new bike? The steering cone loosen up in the first few months of use. Go to a motodiam to get it tightened.

Then there is a possibility of worn steering cone bearings or wheel bearings. Jack up front end to check for free play.

Juz had this prob recently with coolant leaking after i rode @ 90 from Jurong to Keppel & was advised by the Mechanics to change of gaskets & the engine will be overflowing with coolant so...thanx to HK....u know at Bukit Merah...i think this was 2 mths ago..i forked out 300++ bucks to replace the gaskets...

Juz last saturday it happened again & i visited our dear Ah Chong from Planet...First he gave me this laugh so i thot oops gotta spend another 400...he checked if my fan was workin then took off the tank & threw my coolant reservoir cover at me. the gasket was screwed coz it was old...it cost me $8 to replace it so don go do nothin ride in to Planet & consult Dr. Chong...hehehehe..take care bros... don wanna tarnish any bikeshops image but they don give u a honest consultation...i wouldnt wanna go back to them 4 sure...
