How much u loose when u sell ur bike?

guys, I'm thinking of tyring out a bike for abt a mth only... so let's say I buy a bike & sell it only 1 mth later, how much will I loose (or need to spend) in terms of road tax, insurance, ownership transfer etc... (do i need to pay for 1 yr or will it be prorated?)

 

let's keep the bike buy/sell price out of the equation as that will vary & dependent on so many variables...

lets say you use it for a month and managed to sell it off in exactly after 1 month of usage.. the only thing you will lose is on your insurance.. unless you can buy a month of insurance for the bike.. road tax loss would be a few $$.. ownership transfer nv lose.. when you buy, you pay.. you sell, buyer pays..

Yupz.. that's the question i was trying to get at... so no reimbursement for insurance & road tax when use the bike for less than a yr?

 

Or can the insurance & road tax be offset for my next bike?

road tax stays with the bike.. if you apply the insurance from the same insurance company can do the transfer of insurance from old to new bike..

If the road tax for the bike doesn't expire within the month you're trying it out then you'll save on that too.

insurerance can refund on some company... i think ntuc and axa can...try checking...

is it like 1 - 2yrs of usage = 20% off yr stock machine price?

you will find that the heaviest loss is on the machine depreciation.. the rest of the sum is quite small compared to depreciation..

there will be some loss on the insurance part as well..

If i get an old machine & price is alredy low, it wont depreciate much further after 1-2 mths rite? or is the depreciation mainly due an additional owner?

new bikes always depreciate very fast within the 1st few years so cannot have the mindset of losing as little as possible.

don even think of getting $$ back in some cases..
