i only recomend looi ..... for first hand 650......but if u get a 2nd hand or third hand 650 i also recommend looi ...he only tell you 1 prize but prize different from face to face and servicing i still goes back to him n he treat their bike nice....

and it's quite difficult to find 2nd hand 650

but if you buy bike from other bikeshop u better goes to find clifford from k n t workshop he's the expert for the rest.

if you buy first hand with the coe u should be looking at 19k plus coe 4k then 23k

Sia la, 23k for a 650 is no joke!

That's the price of my Vee, can I sell my Vee at 23k? LOL!

The bike is not a problem .... Its always the rider....A scenario I know is a rider who rides into something making the triple clamp broke........Another rider I know is willing to spent so much money on his British bike but never travel out of Singapore... Not even once.

So you see.....Papa it's the way the rider rides.....Which makes the bike a problem one or not......

It's true, i am the triple clamp.

Bike should be designed to handle any hard knocks. Sadly, they are not.

SG so fun.. can go Yishun Dam and Simpang Bedok. There is not a need to travel out of SG.

Lols... sometime its not the bike and it not the rider...

But it just the nick in SBF that like to find problems lols...

I agree Sir.

Okay beside tour... trail bla bla bla...

Anyone bought this bike to do STUNT!!! or anyone here able to do such hehe

I was K&T this morning to change my steering cone bearings, air filter and spark plugs. Seems like a straight forward job but trust me...its not. Also bumped into Al-Simmons there. Nice chatting with you. :cheeky:

Worn bearings were giving my knocking sounds whenever I applied brakes and went over humps. Its nice and smooth now.

Did a throttle body sync at the same time since everything was taken apart. I don't wish to do this often. Not bad, not very off. Never done a TBS since new. Mileage is 40k for your reference. So actually did not need to do. But for a peace of mind from now onwards.

Changing spark plugs on the 2007 onwards DL650 dual spark model is a nightmare. 3 are pretty straight forward with the tank off. The last one behind the radiator is the torublesome one. Need to loosen radiator to create space. I went for NGK CR8EK spark plugs for those who wants to know.

Butt dyno tells me that it is smoother now. Riding back in the rain after everything could have numbed my senses.

Nice one there, did you change to after market air filter or stick with the original? I prefer the former.Dual spark model is a nightmare but this has resulted in a better consumption compare to the old Wee. Hmm I also haven done any TBS before, mine is 50++ l mileage. So what is the total damage?

Original for me. I dun like washing and oiling of K&N. Just drop a fresh new air filter seems more fuss free for me. FC has been good all along. I don't have an older wee to compare with. So don't know how big is the difference. I did the TBS since all the fairings are all off and the TB are all assessible. The readings came up quite balanced but still did the tuning/balancing. If you are not experiencing bad FC, rough iding etc, your TB should be well synced. Damage is $278. The spark plugs are expensive ($15 each). But looking at the work done just to remove and replace them, I think its ok.

the one behind the radiator is always the troublesome one and that's the one that usually will burnt or charred when the TB misfire for Vee....
