For your information, if u have to be buying a K7 DL650. There is a model produce between 2006 and 2007.

 

1. K7 - ABS with SINGLE spark plug (Transition model)

2. K7 - ABS with DUAL sparks plug

err hi guys.. would like to ask some questions coz i jus got myself a k8 dl1000...

anw, was curious why wen i'm on my 6th gear, it shows 'O/D' on my meter? and what does it mean?

hope any kind soul can help me coz i'm totally noob since switching from my gsxr 1000 k6 to a v-strom. (had enough of high speed n corners)

and also.. i'm getting myself ready bit by bit to start touring..

 

first up, i need side panniers as the shop gave me a normal 46l kappa box. some aluminium ones on my side would b awesome.

any advice on prices and locations? or maybe theres anyone who intending to sell off. i dont mind the brand though as long as it is alumnium..

OD= Over Drive, Only the Vee have it. Function not quite sure as I'm riding the Wee. Probably an indicator to show that you on top gear and you have reach best gear ratio?

 

Side Panniers got a few in the market, most Common is Hepco Alu Model or Sw Motech Trax. Not common in Market is Givi Alu, for now. Other Alus you can search from net, which I think a few riders did buy online and ship in personally.

 

Shops can try Biketech, Mah, Mtechnik

Not too sure. Do you park yours outdoors? on side stand or mainstand etc? Might be potential causes if mirror gets wet from rain or washing.

 

Mine is MSCP on mainstand with handlebar lock. I just thought its a random thing. No specific cause.

the bike start to vibrate when the engine start.......

 

for vee the fc at 90km/j or at 2500rpm is 25km/l

 

at 120 km/h at 3500rpm 20km/l

 

at 150km/h at 5000 rpm 16km/h

 

at 180km/h at 7500rpm 12km/h start weaving

 

at 220km/h at 9500 rpm 9km/l breaking apart

 

at 260km/h at 11500rpm ???? some marbles and balls missing

 

you park the top speed for the wee at 200 km/h and the fc 30-35%better, torq at 30-35% lower ,but 30-35% more fun n 30-35% less costly

@Newbie87 - spend some more time reading through the pages in this thread and VSRI forum before you finally put your heart and soul into thinking of getting the Vee or Wee...
