Wat do you mean full servicing? There's a lot you can do or rather you should know what needs to be done. Besides the normal oil and filter changes, does it include brake pads, brake fluids, etc?

need to wear glove or maybe do a rubber type wrapping at the handle. it helps alot

 

 

rubber wrapping? can give example? Actually just realised the vibration is mostly on the grip as well as foot pegs. My seat is already aftermarket with more cushion, but with the regular sponge, not gel.

Shadow can do 120 easily and can hit 140. I think you need to do full servicing for yours. My ex Shadow was the same. After I did it up no problem. Do a carb wash, spark plug change, all the filters etc. Try Rosli at Eunos Industrial. He's done plenty of Shadows.

Just go down talk to him lor. But go next week. This week the Ks got trip. He'll be close Friday night and over the weekend.

I was there ard that time oso..nvr see any Shadow ard leh..basically the whole alignment of the bike was gone..so must do the front fork,steering cone,carb,my brakes etc..

Hi bro, you got yo shadow from shop or owner? just curious. so many wear and tear to be done up. If from shop maybe can go back to them and make them share the repair costs $$.

2B bikes, sure not comfortable one. Try the Shadow or Dragstar if you're looking for a 2A cruiser? Pillion seat though small but I'm sure the ride will be smoother.

 

 

 

Rubbish. When you wash your carbs, the whatever seals there are, you replace them with a new one not old one. If your mech uses old ones then he's trying to cheap your money cos he'll still charge you the price of a new one. Even if he helps you save money and charges you the 2nd hand price, that few dollars isn't gonna bring you a long way. It's like trying to wash your oil filter and re-using it.

 

Same goes for whatever O rings and rubber seal and bearings and whatever parts you can think of.

 

Bro I should clarify my use of the word 'seals'. This dude was talking abt the 'dirt' in the carburetor interior, acting as a layer of 'coat' on the interior walls, not seals as in rubber seals. He was sayin if this dirt coat gets off, the carburetor interior might start wearing.

 

Seems to have some degree of logic to me. Wanted to check if this claim has real basis?

Yea I think we're not thinking on the same line but I do know wat you mean by interior might start to wear out but that's quite old school thinking eh? I still believe washing your carb (when needed) will improve your engine's performances and not deteriorate it. Though check with your mech on that urban legend. I might be wrong.

Oh! oriental, I think I know which shop you got from. The bike was black one before the shop got it sprayed grey and white right? Ha Ha! I also got from the same shop but mine is Green & beige one. Had some bad experience from the shop too also take as a lesson .

Tot of saddle bag but due to security problem at my MSCP, neigbour saddle bag got cut recently and items inside stolen so no choice have to use Givi boxes instead. My crash Bar brought from a forumer here who imported it but cannot fit on his 2005 model so I took over from him. Need some modification for the installation got it done at First Motor.

Ya! Have some problems wit the bike after collecting it but spend $$$ to get it done for safety reasons. Shop promise to do servicing but did not do it so have to do at my regular mech. Replace few other wear and tear items too.

Shadow shouldnt have any problem hitting 120 or 130....

 

Need patience to get above 130 though....

 

And if ur shadow rumbles like mine, you wouldnt do anything less than 120....

 

Minimize any vibrations by wearing gloves...Its a safety thingy too...
