I feel..

Blackbird is known for it smoothness rather than anything else. If you really decided to mod it become more "fierce", i guess it might not be very suitable for ya. It like changing the real nature of the bike..

No hard feeling tot, just my personal opinion.

Well by modding it I'm not making it to be able to break speed records or anything. Its just to improve the comfort of riding. The spacers really make a hell lot of difference cause it makes the bike higher thus making it feel lighter when handling. Purging the cataliyc convertors basically prevents the fumes from being recycled in the exhaust can for several cycles thus making the bike hotter due to the exhaust air being trapped, going through some filtration process to make it cleaner. Basically the catalyic converters are there to meet the European EU emission standards not Singapore standards. That's why your can never see any new Fazer600s in Europe because it doesn't meet the EU standards anymore. As for the iridium plugs, do you know that ngk plugs are made in Singapore and most of them are recycled plugs. Get denso iridiums they are made in states and the plugs allow you to fine tune your BB's to give it a real smoother ride.

Just my comments though

HUH? where u got your info from?

Remove catalytic converter to make the bike run cooler? Which part of the bike, end can? Or engine?

Iridium NGK plugs made in singapore? Where you got this info from? The last time I saw the plug its made in Japan.

Denso iridium made in states? I remember going to Bangi Malaysia and saw DENSO's factory there.

The church is near, but the road is icy. The bar is far away, but I will walk carefully.

The cylindrical catalyser units are installed in the exhaust system immediately before the silencers. The all new European models which is the models of FI BBs since 2001 in Singapore all sport HECS3 system. How they work? The CPU measures the exhaust emissions in the catalytic convertor and then inject fresh air and prolongs the burning of extra fuel. This meets the European model is the model that we have in SG, 2001 FI model onwards. Now you realise why the FI models are much hotter than our carb cousins. With this in mind, there is a filter meshing which restricts immediate air flow from the end can. When this is purged, air flow is instantaneous. However you have to retune your BB when you purge the converter because it whacks your BB fuel burning fuel. This is calculated through use of a sensor that send information to the BBs cpu. That's why the BB has to be retuned when you purge the CCs. As for the denso iridiums, yes they have aplant in M'sia but use the ones that come direct from the states. If you do your homework you notice that the ones from states have a different packaging as compared to the ones from M'sia.

Oh a word of warning before doing anything make sure you get a shop that knows what it is doing. Get recommendations from fellow BBs, they should be able to tell u which shop knows their job and which doesn't. I've heard from shops think they know everything about the BB. When asked whether they can make the hazard lights to be on, they can say they need to fix another bulb. Ludicrous. Haha, just rewire only what!!!

mileage im not very sure how to extimate... being to track twice & a few trips to kulai. Normal on road daily is about 80km. minus some rounding done on weekends. Advise is pump the tyre fully to maintain. Change at eddy ong without balancing.

that would add up to ard more than one year of relatively heavy usage. looks pretty much durable compared to my sportec m1s. my pair look almost there with jus bout 7-8mths of low usage. always thought tyres with exellent performance would compromise on durability but the corsa seems to hav both. :thumb:
