You have one badly jetted bike... the main jet is way too big. Some bike mechanics will just put an oversized main jet to kill the backfiring at YOUR expense... you are paying for the petrol, not them.

I only get that kind of consumption when racing in Pasir Gudang, and that's riding with the throttle wide open and at max rpms on all gears. Furthermore, its a fully modified engine with an FCR41.

the mechanic helped me change a small bronze looking plug.. forget it's name. guess the bad fc was probably due to fuel leak.. its getting better now. thanks!

Btw; unomomento are u working @ SAFTI MI? Tango Wing?

Hey Maverick, indeed I am, but not Tango (though there's a 'SonicHedgehog' one there). Haven't seen another DRZ around there though, especially one with an Ikea Design. Where u located, camp personnel as well?

Anyway, I'm leaving for Brunei from now till X'mas. Good bye Biting_Point and all..

Happy Riding and an Advance Merry X'mas to all!

Correct bro, our bike got e off position.. i think e fuel cock not e issue, if u say 7litre can go only 90km then u hav 1 badly jetted bike. My fc currently bout 23-24km per litre n i tot mine was bad till i hear yours...

Hello. Im thinking about getting a DRZ SM to hopefully try track riding sometime in the future. However it will have to serve as my daily transport bike as well. I travel 80+ km daily (live in east, work in the west :( ) and was wondering if a drz is ok for such commuting. Comfort wise, i think can still tahan lah, used to ride cbr400 to work. Currently riding fazer 6 if it makes any difference

thanks for any comments

it's suitable for SG commuting purposes.

FC definity better than cls 2 bikes.

maintenance cheaper too.

it's light n better pick up, easy to handle.

must state that vibrations comes with it too..

high speed cruising is not ideal..

if you are patient, it's a good bike to own for transport and everything..

Hello! Just got back from overseas. Had 4 pages worth of catching up to do.. Anyway, just wanna advise the new riders here, LTA's hot on our toes. Be very wary of your modifications and always carry your cert for aftermarket exhaust systems with you! Minor things like signal lights, mirrors, tail lights, sticker number plates and noise generated from the exhaust will kenna also. My sub-rider got stopped and pulled to STA while I was away. The summons for exhaust modification's $500. & they'll take alot of pictures so all inspection centres will 'aim' your bike when you go back for re-inspection. Remember to keep all your stock parts too!
