hi,

does DRZ have a powercut? if so, how does it work?

 

my bike recently been acting up funny, once it reach a certain speed, i can't speed up no matter how much further i turn the throttle. tried this at last gear, haven't tried the rest thou.

 

i've exp this with my prev bike, the powercut got fried, tht's y it "mistaken" tht the rpm has reach the powercut level

if yours is a PI, powercut at 180kph i supposed just like Super4s.. All JDM bikes had limit at 180kph..

 

but unlikely your bike can reach 180kph..

 

if it's a lower speed, a good chance either your carb is choked (just need a wash) or worst, your CDI is fried ( need a change but need to find out what cause it so that you can rectify it before installing new CDI)..

 

all above IMO.. get bike shop check better..

mech test ride, say most prob carb diaphragm got prob, got lost of power. will let him repair during my trip to bkk next week, hope not too ex cause jus spend quite a lot on charging coil

ask u guys, for those who had gone for the annual inspection, does the DRC tail and tail light pass inspection? i know 20 yrs ago if scram has no tail except for the license plate as a tail will fail the inspection. thxs to share any pointers or tips.

 

Mine ALMOST fail but end of the day he pass for me!!! e inspection guy just realise got no mud flap and chain guard. ask me to come back on weekends but too bz... haha.... my signal light front and rear warning.. coz my cover is originally tinted thus my signal light looks like its red.. heheee.. next yr onwards gonna ask bike shop to send.. haiz... i went to VICOM sin ming! dont wanna go there anymore!

 

drc lights and signals will pass.. but you will fail the mud flap portion.. either tell motorshop to send for you or add a mud flap before you go for inspection..

best choice!
