As previously mentioned,

1) Case Savers (abt $70)

2) MCCT (abt $90)

3) Axle Sliders ($110)

4) Hand Guards (from $180, get those metal bracket ones)

they are in order of importance..

Hey Guys,

Any one knows if it is possible to fix ur mcct yourself?

and has anyone live to tell the tale? :cheeky::cheeky:

thanks..

Was riding frm ecp juznow when my bike suddenly have a loud screeching metal sound.

not sure frm where its coming from but it sounded like 2 metal rubbing against ea other. from the front part of the engine if im nt wrong.

Very worried abt this.. anyone experienced this before or any experts can advise me on this?

many of us are on Power 1s, good for tack and road use.. long life too..

many other tyres like pilot power, bt090, d253 are also good tyres for motards.. if budget try pilot power.. long life with good grip..

as for the vapor, you can check with http://www.trailtech.net for your water seepage issue..

they are actually water resistant.. they might just exchange 1 to 1 with you if you know how to talk your way thru..

$1000 can get you a set of boots, gloves and suit..

Regina sells reasonable priced suit..

cheap and similar options also available at Biketech21..

there are so many brands of boots, MX and sports riding too..

go around, look and see.. buy the one you like and comfortable..

better change ur tires fast dude, raining nowadays.

tires as mentioned by bitingpoint, bt90 n diablo are moderate priced, pilot power n power 1 ex a bit but worth the money, if budget then get those moderate price ones rather than running on bald tires

Greetings all!

Pretty upset that my magneto coil and rectifier have fried over only 8 months and less than 8K mileage.. Agent is playing punk and not recognizing the warranty as I "service my bike outside.. and modified my engine.." Pretty lame if you ask me for the fact that if I changed the parts at their workshop(by the way they only found that the coil is down.. which is lame cuz my brand new batt is flat hence that would point to the rectifier as well) that they would give a one year warranty on the part even if I continued to service outside..

Anyways.. I'm just wondering if this is a known problem to the DRZ or I'm doing something wrong with the bike? Thanx dudes..

peace

Hi Guys, i need some advice..

At highway cruising speed at around 100km/h, how would a DRZ compare to a Kup Kia in terms of 1) Noise 2) Stability.

I know its a not an apple to apple comparison, but due to various reasons these are the 2 bikes that i am looking at getting.

Hopefully bros here can help me shed some light before i make my purchase.

Thanks! Happy Holidays..

Sorry i was not clear about the "noise".

I was actually referring to vibration. understand from reading earlier threads that drz sure have certain amount of vibration. But not sure how it compares to kup kia.

Thanks for the replies and feedback guys.

Posted

no experience with kups . . but vibration at 100 lesser than 2b bikes i rode

my 2b bike experience was xr200, ktm200, daystar, sp.

Truly the DRZ is a Fun Bike to ride around town... It hv never failed to keep me excited.... Minus the long highway, which seems the dwn side to the bike... the fun comes every twist of the throttle...:angel:

definately a DRZ.. but the big difference is the price..

there's so many reasons to choose DRZ over Kups..

but in the end, it's your money..

Truly the DRZ is a Fun Bike to ride around town... It hv never failed to keep me excited.... Minus the long highway, which seems the dwn side to the bike... the fun comes every twist of the throttle...:angel:

totally agreed.. just came bac from Melaka International Motorsports Circuit..

had a very fun weekend.. althou i lowslided one time, but immediately picked up the bike and continue.. not many bikes(kups, sportsbike, roadbike) are so tough.. wacking 120++kph before turn 1 was definately fun.. plus the knee scraping corners..!!

regarding to highway, i feel that it's a way of training your patience and keeping the speed limit..

Hi peeps,

get reusable ones like K&N and BMC..

BMC offers high flow but it's more expensive..

any irdium sparkplugs are good..
