Petrol will only Destroy ur PaintWerk if it is nt cleaned properly / remove. As in Petrol Drip then U nvr wipe off & leave it 2 dry. Yes in that case it will eat up the paint. Another is if like ur Bike topples over & heavy dosage of Petrol is left 2 dry by itself, worst still wif help of SunLite, ur Paint will Crack... Very Jialat ah experience before

Use boiling hot water from the kettle, pour some hot water on rag, then wipe affected area. Make sure your are wearing gloves, cos the hot water will scald you.

The boiling hot water softens the glue, then it can be rubbed off.

You will need to repeat this a few times to remove all the glue.

If you don't have a power point near where your bike is parked, them put the hot water in a thermo-flask.

I would not apply any flamable carbon based fluid (like petrol) anywhere near my Helmet.

It will weaken the shell.

I also read (a long long time ago) that glue on stickers can weaken the shell and so can paint.
