The BT021, so far happy with it, after 3 days of running in, the new tyres are quite enthusiastic in cornering, but as they are new I took it easy.

I would have gone for your set up michelin pliot power front and pliot road 2, but I was urgent that day, I think the price was about the same according to the shop but had to wait and order, maybe the next round.

As I do not ride everyday, think the tyres will last awhile.

Thanks to all the bros, learnt alot from our sharing!!

Ride safe!

I got the BT21 for about $330 include installation and balancing.

Now 14,000km the front going bald soon.

Seems like the new model has a faster worn off rate than the BT20.

For our rear,Manual balancing can be done, racewerks and HKL does that.Or any car tire shops can do machine balancing for the rear.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

agreed..and month of manufactured is only Aug08.

sadly Unique dont do rear tyre balancing.

ive got to go to BoonSiew but unfortunately encounter bad experience there.

eventually went to Motoworld to have the rear tyre balanced.

Dudes,

Can I check with you chaps who have used BT21 before. It seems that my front tyres seem to wear out faster than my rear ones. Quite the opposite from my old Blackbird... Is this normal for you guys?

Or perhaps should I be changing to PR2 instead??

ya, for BT21 the wear ratio is 2 front & 1 rear

Oh issit? On the contrary, i find my rear wearing out faster than the front. Maybe my reading is inaccurate, cus i inherited this pair of bt021 from the last owner. He seem like those hardcore rider, whack the throttle hard one haha.

My first time using BT though but i personally would prefer michelin haha.

How about Z6? Anyone tried Z6 on their viffer? Is Z6 recommend on a viffer??

I used to use Z6 on my ex-Fabulous-Joy-Ride...

Good touring, lasting tyres, but heard Z6 not so suitable to "cup" corners as compared to BT21.

I also tried BT21 on my ex-ride before (after my Z6 became "wavey" due to my fault of not pumping enough air pressure in my tyres for a period of time, I changed to BT21), really can "cup" corners very well on BT21... heehee... :)

BT21 its cornering capabilities is quite gd, better then my previous michelin pilot sport on my older bike. But definitely not as lasting.

But now, i'm a "hum" rider lar, i dun "cup" much corner hahaha. Rider normally only hahaha

I am into my 2nd front BT21 with the first rear. So far the 2:1 ratio seems quite true.

I have used 2 pairs of Z6 before, very long lasting tires, but lousy rear grip and prone to cupping.

I love the continental sport attack, fun but short lasting tire.

nv use a Z6 before. use Pilot Sport then BT 021 then Pilot Road 2

personally i think BT021 is quite bad.... a few of my frds front juz sort of gone out of shape before the rear really sq.

PR2 i think is the better lot for road tire. when new give u a nice "cup" got it own mind, juz bring u down at corner.

mileage wish... about 30k now. still lasting, since last yr CNY. so i guess it is not bad. 1 yr of 30k usage. worth it cent.

cheers

Right!! Will change to PR2, but since my rear tyres still have a lot of mileage, I think I'll change the front first...

BT21/PR2 combination, eh???

SC Pro is a great tyre that's biased towards more track use hence its softer and hence gives lower mileage. I would not recommend it purely because I feel its unnecessary as its too much rubber for a VFR. I use it on one of my sport bikes and run BT020 on my VFR which I feel is one of the all time great sport tourer tyres. If you really want to go with Pirelli, the Corsa III (on my other sport bike) should give better overall bang-for-bucks. Cheers.
