Guys.. need some advise from you guys.....

 

1) 2T.... whats the brand that is used nowsadays? (Used to use Rockoil, but I dunno where to buy it now) Ideas?

 

2) Chain lube..... hiaz... time to get one.... any particular brands that dun like fling?

 

3) I need a NoLan visor... where in the hell in SG can I look for one?

 

4) Any nice place you guys reccomend changing tires?

 

5) I need a guy to set up my shocks and fork... i realli am lost at this aspect.. can never get it right... current settings makes my ride wanna dump me out when I hit a bump

1) I've been using Unil-Opal Titanium, $20/bottle. Other good brands you can buy are Castrol R2 & Motul....haven't tried the rest tho

 

2) I've heard good things about Maxima's Chainwax and hoping to get a bottle soon but i've been Motul Chain Lube and its quite good although it tends to fling.

 

3) Try JR? I think they're selling nolan helmets so they should have the visors as well

 

4) Not so sure about this but if i were you i'd just head down to NTrust

 

5) Check out BikeLab at Serangoon rd or Teck Thye

u riding a 250 rite? shocks can be done a davids'(teck thye), 2t can use motul600... if u wan power then maxima 927 if u don mind a lot of carbon.. chain lube or wax... i think anyone will fling... tyres try ah boy.. dunlop gpr70

to prevent fling of the chain wax, simple solution... lub the cahin after some riding when the chain is still very HOT , leave overnite then the flings will greatly reduce... :goodluck:

Yes.. my dear friend.. it can be done.. And i fully encourage you to do it.. Not only it will allow you to carry more things while you ride, it will actually make your bike look even more hot than it already is..

1) Bike model (Replica, y2k, rs)

2) No. plate

3) Exact location where you park everyday.

1) i've been using mobil 1 racing 2t.. get it at any mobil stations.. no complains..

 

2)chain lube been using PJ1 blue label.. like wat xxes123 says. ride the bike for about 5 min then spray it on then leave it overnight.. u guys ever try castrol chain wax..?? it will leave a gooey white stuffthen fling it all over ur back rim..

 

3)can't help u on this one..

 

4)try LAB aka ah boy... gpr 70 around 200

 

5)heard bikelab quite good.. dunno knoe bout the price tho...

hey guys FY plate [ Y2K ] selling at 4.6 k is it worth it ? with the SPEC of alot of things i only remember some [ WP supension ] Single ring piston ] and alot more gd parts ... from IDEAL ... need some opinions ??? thanks :confused:

Dude,

 

It is very very difficult to believe that a motor tiam is letting go of a FY for 4.6k! One of our own guys here got a FY for 5plus K, tat itself was a damn good deal..

 

Are you sure it is a WP shock? This is my advice.. Bring down one of the experienced Aprilians(muser, Eyz, xxes123 etc) to take a look at the bike.. So atleast they know what you're getting for your money..

 

Honestly, 4.6k sounds very dubious to me, unless the bike got some problem.. Good luck though..

Is it normal for aprilias to be noisier than other 2 stroke bikes? When my engine is idling the sound is like very rough compared to other bikes like sp or kips. Is it simply aprilia's sound or my bike going to up lorry already? Please advise...

Of course, there's also the story of 2 economists walking down the street and refusing to pick up a $50 note they saw, because they were convinced that there's no such thing as free money.   My point is that it's highly unlikely that a shop's selling an FY plate for that price, especially with all the goodies claimed. Do you still have your filter in your airbox? tat could be one reason for your bike to sound different, or more noiser also

No sticker... it's a cheapo indo helmet.

 

The guy who sold me the CBR passed it (and another half face) to me unused as at the time he only had the tinted visor which is not allowed in Singapore. I found out that the MHR visors are identical so I got the clear one from my old MHR and another smoked visor from Chiap Lee.

 

It's got removeable, washable linings and doesn't smell too bad anyway but it doesn't have that nice new smell either. You can always pull out the linings and soak them in something nice smelling or use detol.

 

No bad for a free helmet.

 

Anyway, the only time you have to worry about the sticker is if you're going for lessons at SSDC etc.

Is that the RS125 for 1.5k posted in Yahoo? Originally he said it was a 2000 model and I was gonna go take a look but then he sent me the pics and I realized it's the earlier model. DOH!

 

He's also selling an FX plate with the RS exhaust.

In my opinion they are certainly considerably louder at idle than the Jap bikes.

 

Does the noise level reduce when you pull in the clutch lever? If so there are some bushings in your clutch basket which need replacing periodically I believe but you will have to ask the experts around here. These seems to make quite a difference to the rattling sounds made when the bike is idling away at the lights. I find my bike is quieter once warmed up.

So, if the bike only use for track. What are the chances that the bike has been fully overhaul and free from all the problems that is due to the bike being always whacked fully on track?
