Sigh..

My bike now cant go above 9000rpm on all gears (even neutral)

All started after I fell into the sand pit at tuas track over the Hari Raya Weekend.

Anyone has any idea or theory as to what is happening?

Bad enough I've been zipping around Singapore on a "Tuono", I cant even go faster then 130kmph now.

I wanna head down to FM on Monday to sort this issue out, but I dont know where to start. Last check on compression about a week ago, I'm getting around 120+/- (I forgot what's the healthy range. Anyone can enlighten me pls?)

Assuming this is not solved, I think I may pull out from Sepang trip.. Damn worried about it already lah.. So close to the date, so many things starting to pop up.

I went to unique. Now I can only go max 80km/hr and it is stressful especially when on the expressway.

Should I complete the run in first and then go back for check

Which wkshop you went? Most wkshop change your jetting when their touch engine. They rich it to ensure the engine do not EXPLORE after you leave their wkshop. Check your plug is it very wet & black.....if yes, down size step by step......

No la.. I'm just saying, right now I cant attain higher then 130kmph. I need to solve this ASAP, else there's no way I'm gonna risk everything by riding up to KL when the time comes..

Anyways, found the compression ratio already. 12:1 (which I hope equates to 120 as what I've seen on the test kit Ah Seng is having.)

Saturday - 10th October 2009, around 0755AM at Yishun Ave 2 (Khatib mrt) on the way out of yishun, I saw a very very nice looking matt black Aprilia, matt red front fender with twin exhausts on the right side on the bike (if i never see wrongly), FF helmet with riding jacket and a black backpack

Hope he might be here :)

His name is edwin, aka xxes123. He probably read your post already. He stays near the SPC at Khatib.

Good job Chung!

Anyway, just to add. Viknesh is a loud mouthed, bad tempered ass, Lawrence, an unforgiving cynic, and Khai, a timer. Best not to approach them.

Chung and Ize will provide you with all the info and 'poison' you need! :cheeky:

Hi bro,

thank you so much! :) I stay in woodlands and my mobile is 96648664. Would love to meet you guys up for coffee.

BTW, i called up the workshop to ask and I mentioned about the "valve seal and gasket and everything" but the mech said they didn't restrict anything. He said probably need to tune the carburetor. I wonder why it was not done properly during the last top servicing when they also replaced piston/clutch.

I will faithfully complete my run in till 800km and then go back to see how. Hope everything will be ok

Is this due to the new piston and also the mineral oil used for gear box and 2T?

You use mineral oil for 2T?? :faint:

I won't even use mineral oil to lube my chain.

Start with Motul M800 for low smoke 2T, and fully-synthetic gear oil.

Mix your 2T:fuel ratio at 50:1 then progress to 60:1 if smoke persists. It should also relieve the bogging.

woot found dainese at japan, bought my racing suit, boots and gloves :D, but damm ex la 4.1k total lol.

I'm assuming you are Japanese or a Singaporean/PR living in Japan. You bought your Dainese gear with no intention of bringing them home, am I right?

Because Dainese is much cheaper in Europe, especially Italy. But after checking prices out over there in Milan, Switzerland and UK, I discovered a shocking fact - it's still cheapest in Singapore.

The same model sold in SG and Europe may differ in price by S$150-200 at the most. Considering you buy when SGD is strongest, at S$2,500 and above, you might save about 3-7% of the price if bought in Europe. Factor in the inconvenience of lugging your equipment home (assuming you do not have to pay overweight baggage charges), and shortchanging yourself the opportunity to buy other great stuff you can only get from that particular country, that S$150-200 might not be worth that much saving.

Last time I checked in Osaka and Nagoya, Dainese prices were exorbitant, factor in the unfavourable exchange rate now, you could have gotten a full-faced helmet as well if you'd purchased Dainese gear in Singapore.

I bought my Dainese full-face helmet in Paris for €350, about S$700 at the time. But it is the only one in SG. I bought my Dainese suit in SG, because in Europe, the same model costs the same after conversion, and even after my tax rebate!

In Japan, the cheapest motorcycling gear should be RS Taichi (https://www.motoliberty.com/prod_detail.asp?Prod_ID=449&ImgId=1540), Trinity, Kushitani, etc. Not your Europe brands. There is a very high mark-up on foreign brands in Japan.

Of course, all this won't apply, since you got your gear for riding in Japan, right? And I assume you're never coming back (or never will be visiting Singapore), or else it won't be worth the extra G's for Dainese that could be purchased for much less here.

Actually M710 also nice and can keep using 2T pump which make a easier ride. Few of my friends using M710 with 2T pump on their track used RS250, pushing hard at PG to low 1:50s without facing any engine failure problem. Unless RS125's 2T pump a not reliable part otherwise it's really hard to make a point using premix to me. Plus M800 is a very sticky oil not easy to pull out from the bottle and easy to get somewhere else and resulted in a mess. If you really wanna try premix 2T, maxima K2 will be my recommand choice. About same price compare to M800 but not that sticky, same level as maxima 927 but not based on toxic castor oil and less violent smell form the smoke. Most important one, although maxima k2 written premix only but i've tried on my RS250 pump for a while with out a problem and my pistons were burned nicely.

But honestly speaking, I couldn't feel any difference no matter i am using M710, 50%M710+50%M800, Maxima K2 through pump in the track. Rev up to 13000rpm(ECU cut) never a prob and engine always responsded properly. So I do think as long as the realibility of 2T pump not an issue, any 2T around M710 level good enough already.

Just mine two cents.
