ya ya.. silly me... kiasu me..

i got 2 fork.. both replica (old).. the 1 i'm using now (which is providing the screeching sound) comes with the bike when i bought it.. the screeching sound can only be heard when the front tires are jacked up.. during moving, i don't hear any sound.. mayb it's jus me being picky.. i jus don't like the feeling that the front wheel is being dragged by the disc...

anyway, i'm servicing another fork now.. will be puttin the correct oil and fixing it back to my bike again...

i will take note of the alignment and the wheel shaft when i fix it the next time...

oic... well sometimes changing the fork will have error from the old one by maybe less then a degree but it will need to brake in the pads again if so...

Hi all! Just sent my bike into Ideal today..... Sigh..... Miss her already.

Anyways, just wanna ask around if anyone's got a 2nd hand rear suspension to sell. The one that they're quoting me is 500 bucks man! (Sachs)

My current one's stiff as a board, and its really affecting my riding man. Hope you guys can help with some advice on whether I should get a brand new one, a 2nd hand olin, or simply a 2nd hand Sachs suspension.

Thanks!

-Ed-

Btw, any outings as of late? been really busy with work and all.....

they quoted you the price for a 1sthand or 2ndhand rear shock? You want slightly cheaper, get it from Lawrence.. 480 for Sach rear shock including installation..

As for outings.. stay tuned..

I had a friend back in Aust who drove this very beat up old Aussie car (really solid piece of crap).

Must be the old Torana, Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon.

Those old 5L V8s weigh a ton and move like tanks on the road man, all smoke & noise without much forward movement.

Any idea what cause an idling engine to die often?

Started to have this problem after changing my clutch plates..

abit difficult to start bike if i din ride it in the past couple of hours.. must strat repeatedly, and if the temp is below 40 degrees, and i open throttle it more than 2000, it jus dies off, if i dun open it dies off...

So what i'm doing now is when i start the bike, engine running, open throttle abit.. Very little.. Until temp is more than 40plus.. then bike can rev without dying..

Any ideas how to rectify this problem?

hello all... I just went over to MAH & enquire about the price of Aprilia RS 125 & some other models... it was about $11k OTR... my questions is

1) does I still need to fork out any $ more after paying for that price?

2) is it advisable for me as a new rider to get this bike @ this moment? or should I get a 2nd hand bike 1st to get used to riding on the road?

3) am I correct to say that the COE price is for the bike plate number? If the COE price is included in the $11k... does I just have to fork out the extra $ if let's say I asked the bike shop to bid for the bike number that I wants & if it's for $1.5k & the current COE price is $650, does I just have to pay the extra amount which is $1.5k - $650 = $850 to the bike shop?

4) or I still have to pay for the extra amount of $1.5k to the bike shop? if this is so, then does that means that I have helped them to save up the COE price which was supposed to be included in my bike?

6) lastly, am I able to get any discount from anyone of you here working there? :bouncefire:

thks for helping me to ans my ques... :bouncefire:

SubZero> The dinner sounds good but I'm going to the X-fighters screening in town (check out slackriders) which goes from 6:30 till about 9+ I think. Maybe next time. Chong Pang is a perfect location for me, right between home and work. =)

CMYRS> Yeah it was a Torana XU1 Bathurst Special. 3.3 Lt inline six with tripple carbs, fully worked with a side dumping exhaust. However, my little 1969 Mazda RX2 (with a modded 13B from a Series 4 RX7) still kicked it's arse easily (and most other cars for that matter).

Spiderman> No official timing on my RS125. But I did 2:20 flat on my CBR 150 so I'm guessing it should be around 2:10

Last time I went out on it I was still having a problem with the side stand. I have to take it to get modified after I collect it from Ideal.

BLOODY UNHAPPY!

Just collected my bike. The bill comes to a tidy sum just under $900. Anyway, the engine seems good but I'll have to run it in for 2,000km before I can even consider taking it to PG for a session. For me to ride this many km's on the bike it will take me 6-12 months. :(

I guess I'm going to have to start riding it on a daily basis...

That's not the bad part. While my bike was sitting at Ideal, being simply rolled into and out of the workshop each day, what was previously a perfectly good rear shock has now morphed into a friggin useless SPRING. *BOING BOING*... There is absolutely ZERO rebound damping and the back end shoots back up trying to launch my arse into orbit every time I hit a bump in the road. More $$$ required.

At first the brakes also seemed to have gone off a bit but with some hard braking on the way home to try and wear off the layers of grime, dust and rust they seem to be coming good but that just makes the problem with the rear shock even more obvious as the back end skips about. I'm wondering how the front forks are doing now... have the seals on those deteriorated over the months of inactivity also??? I hope not. :(

I just wanna cry...
