1st day riding the bike and noticed some problems. The acceleration is quite slow, and on deceleration there is a whining noise. Not very loud but noticeable. I suspect the clutch is slipping?

 

I opened the throttle maxout and topspeed is only 110kmh. Is all this normal? And the tires have the date of manufacture stamped XX05. Are these 4 year old tyres im running on?

Yes i rode modenas elit when i was in msia. That bike did a similiar top speed but got there at a decent rate. Mine is creeping slowly to the top speed.

 

I rode from woodlands to orchard just now and the longer i rode, the poorer the acceleration. And just 15mins ago i skidded while turning into the carpark, coasting, no brakes.

 

When i was buying the bike the tyres on it were totally worn so i asked uncle if can change. Erm... he did but now do i realise they are old(4yrs) and hard as rock! And he forgot to change the worn brake pads as well.

 

Do you think it is too late/much to go back and ask him to change it now?

 

Other than all the little problems im enjoying the comfort and stability it offers in a small scoot:)

bro, think u do a full servicing better. tyre it's good to change to fresh rubbers. brake pads can go back ask uncle change for ya? he got give u warranty? sometimes some $$ cannot save 1

I just cleaned the carburetor and it was quite dirty. And then i noticed the pilot screw was turned out quite far, i turned it in 1/4 turn and then put everything back. Voila! Now the bike doesn't bog when i open the throttle. Just a constant pulling feeling. Previously the bike like pull den bog down awhile and pull abit. Guess it wasn't the clutch that's faulty.

Does super4 brake pads fit in? Front and Rear

Drop by HQ to do a check, I m sure they are most willing to help you to do a check on you bike.

 

SF400 brake pads doesn't fit G-Max calipers as SF400 are using Nissins, G-Max uses OEM brembos.
