One of the side of the roller has the metal ring while the other does not. When you put the rollers in the movable drive face, which direction should they face? When I took out mine and looking down on the rollers, the metal ring side all face clockwise direction.

Not necessary, as long as the outer diameter of the rollers are within specs and do not have uneven wear. According to maintenance schedule, belt change is at 25600km. However, if the belt width is within specs, can still use. I think depends on how you ride the bike. Some have used in excess of 35kkm! Mine is coming to 30kkm and still good.

Can someone please measure the width of a brand new 400cc belt using veneer caliper or better still micrometer when you next change. Thanks.

Variator is measure the inner diameter of the hole and any uneven wear on the plate.

Clutch pads is measure thickness of the linings.

Got some values, let me check.

Yes, very good info. But some areas not clear, like the roller placement, no info on it. Maybe it's not important.

Do you mean when you opened up your virgin SWT, the metal side is facing clockwise for all rollers?

Hmm... never noticed the stock placement but that's how most scooter shops would arrange the rollers.

I've also saw it somewhere in youtube.

ok, I'm thinking to arrange it such that the non-metal side is facing the "V", reason being more contact area. Will try :p

Finally back from Tong Yum Land! How's everyone? David, I found a nice massage for you in Bangkok.. ^^

http://www.healthlandspa.com/contact_us.html

and Raymond, I only found a shop that sell gears, no spare parts. But if next time anyone going, can go see http://www.paddock.co.th/2011/index.php

Biggest motorcycle gears shop I've seen. Very comprehensive collection of motorcycle gears, especially Komine, Alpinestar, Shoei and Arai.

Tried the Shoei Neotec there. Crazy price, but I think the quality is very similar to the Multitec. Even the cushion feels the same. To me, it's just a multitec with Sunshade...

See you guys soon.
