everything comes with a price... especially under Pay-n-Pay :p

you're paying for the convenience, more control over travelling time especially when MRT breakdown regularly, the fun of "eat wind" 吃风, bla bla bla.

see whether you want these or save the $150 lor :)

our fellowship is free, but still gotta pay transport expenses to the meetups... less if you walk or jog there

New vs used clutch pads.

I always have problem with these. I just see no different in clutch pads and break pads new or old. They say change, I can only say ok. To me ... still about the same thickness .... haven't touch the metal yet. hahaha

Posted

see the hole behind the pads?

i mean that hole on the clutch peg body behind/near the clutch pads

one of the mods involves drilling the hole larger to make the pegs lighter. purpose is to "kill" the pigeons n improve pickup; higher rpm would be required to engage the clutch.

hmmm scooby, if the hole is larger will it cause vibration to the assembly? as the pegs no longer nicely fit to the assembly shaft le..

however sanding of the little shaft is recommended as to smoothen the engaging of the clutch pegs..

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Ya.. My key can turn but nothing happen n i feel the keyhole loosen.. Becoz i feel so loose when turning

its either the line is broken or juz loosen/detach from the catch. the line runs on the left side, around 10cm away from the keyhole towards the front.

2 options:

1. unscrew 2 screws below the left side fairing, loose the faring and u can see the line. 2 mins job if u know how to do. take note dat the catch from the back-brake light part is small, becareful not to break it.

2. juz ride down to ACM & let ah chong settle for u.

hope the above info helps. all the best :thumb:

The pegs only use the hole at the far end.

Some foreign forums recommend enlarging the middle hole.

Dr Pulley Sliding Rollers SR2820 26g

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u382/raymondsg/Silverwing/Dr_Pulley/0673aef7.jpg

Installed today. The uniqueness is it makes the variator movement non-linear compared to normal round rollers. 26g seems just nice. Move-off rpm is slightly higher than stock at around 3.5krpm. Most of the "gear ratio change" occurs around 4.5-5.5krpm, which is near SW max torque. At high speed, rpm is about 500rpm lesser than stock to achieve the same speed. Engine brake seems lesser. Feels pretty good for a simple change.

Anybody knows how to remove the clutch bell? I've removed the C clip but the bell doesn't come off. Manual says need special tool.

New clutch pad is 3mm thick; service limit is 1mm. Mine still have 2mm+ at 29kkm. So very lasting.
