Done most of those mentioned, but this air screw synchro is new to me. What effect it have on the bike? Can i do it myself or have to use equipment at shop?

Yea, It can be done by urself. Stock setting is usually 2.5 turns out. Perhaps you can try 1.75 turns out. It will help in reducing the bike fuel consumption as setting is leaner. Whole process will take less than 5mins. I dont use a vacuum gauge as our engine is parallel twin and is every straight forward and is not complex. You just need to take note of the number of turns out for both screws and make sure is symmetrical. Do refer to our silverwing tech corner thread for my specific details. Thanks to those who have contributed :D

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

Ehh.... ,my tuning is using Carbtune. Bought online.

Left side is always maintained at 2 turns and right side adjusted using the vacuum gauge at 2.125 turns.

Love and trust your SW.

It'll bring you to places where others would normally require a dual sports.

please don't try this in Singapore (or anywhere)... in fact, don't even think about it :nono:

suppose pillion is a genuine man in need (not robber), he's gotta put on a helmet. if you don't have a spare, you could be in big trouble:

(a) if lucky... uncle sam pass by, kenna book for carrying a pillion without helmet = fine + points

(b) if unlucky... skid or langah, siow liow :faint:

* although bike insurance does cover pillion as 3rd party, they have all rights not to pay since rider carried a pillion without a helmet, considered a gross act of negligence and ignoring traffic rules.

* if insurance chose not to pay, all 3rd parties (including injured pillion) will sue you, the kind but foolish samaritan... jia buay liow :pity:

when it comes to medical claims and monies, good friends also kenna drain off like soiled EO, what more when it comes to strangers :p

one good example is when Andrea de Cruz/Pierre Png sued their friends/colleagues Chen Liping/Chen Taiming over the Slim 10 saga.

we should be good samaritans, but wise ones

How long then you synchronise the air screw?

Where to get the cleaning agent? how much?

How much does after-market voltage stabiliser cause?

Have you tried Castro RX 5w-40 automotive EO(for diesel truck)?

imo, i think it's good to synchronise air screw each time we change sparkies, or every 10k kms

i bought my FP60 from motoworld, was around $28 per big bottle few years back but dunno how much now. think autobacks may have.

STP products may be found at Giant and autobacks.

voltage stabilisers cost from few tens to >$200, depending on brand/models.

useful or not is debatable... some believe, some condemn, see the tech corner

* Capacitor Based Add-Ons & Multi-Point Grounding

autobacks carry the pivot series (more expensive than buying outside/bikes shops) but gotta DIY for bikes, they don't fix for bikes.

many bike shops do carry the blue pivot one, price varies a little so best to ask around. try checking with ah choong of AC Motor, Clifford of K&T, Elson of Equipment Extreme, etc.
