For me i think the maintenence of the bike is more important, anyway the actual mileage may not be 60k too (reason the meter might be change. My X9 FX plate already go 1 round of the meter which is more than 100k, as long as you take good care of the bike i dun think you will face much problem.

Common issue for a scooter more than 5 years>

1. steering cone

2. Engine mounting

3. coolant pump

4. magneto and magneto coil

5. suspension

6. starter carbon

this might be too much for you, if you interested to find out more, i can try my best to explain to you on the phone or with my bike, cheers.

Thx for a detailed reply :thumb:, i think need some time to digest all these items..I tested one x9 recently, t feeling is ok. i heard from friends before say scooter pick up quite strong and on the road i do see some scooter shoot out very fast, but that one i try not as strong as i expect leh, it only start to move off slowly when engine rpm reach 4 to 5k, is it normal? or maybe due to i didn't wack the throttle a lot as i rider a s4 before that so not use to open wide?

I cant really give you informations if i never look at the bike as it might mislead you.

But pls understand, a bike which had riding for a few years may not be as good as new le.

Hey guys! Due to very little response from this new thread. I would like to invite all of you guys to make some noise and check out if there are any events upcoming in our Singapore Tuas circuit. Most importantly this new thread will also serve as a place for all of us to talk about anything that relates to racing, techniques, brakings, taking a corner...etc etc.

The scooter scene is still very small in Tuas unlike the Yamaha cubs. So i would like to promote this new thread for some of you guys here whom always wanted to know more about scooter racing and also where and when to watch. The upcoming race will be on 1st of March and it's open category.

If you are interested, you can post some of your enquiries. Our guys here are very friendly and willingly to reply your post.

Your support will be much appreciated.

To access the Batt is very easy.

1. You will need to remove the 2 screw behind the cover of 3th brake light(located @ behind the seat)

2. Next push/slide the cover up with little force.

Tada you see the battery.

**If above step does not work for you. you will need to remove your box, box rack cover and remove the 2 big screw holding the cover inside.

sensor checked by ah seng....even change new one also not moving....but then...when i remove my batt terminal and reconnect back, all 4 meters will show signs of movement, by goin to the max and return back, and that my fuel gauge is not showing true value of my tank, when its pointing to empty, actual fact i can go from woodlands to jurong and back with the needle still at empty, when i top it up, i juz manage to pump in 10L nia...i'm suspecting its my digital meter causing this symptoms, but no luck in finding one working DM to test out my suspicions....

Cheers!

u sure can wash it...best is to apply air filter oil spray so that it'll enhance the dirt trapping after washing...

Cheers!
