Hey guys,

 

1)any1 wanna trade ur black coverset, including box and seat with mine..? I'll pay for the labour charge.. Reason is i just bought the bike from fellow SBF but i dont really like the colour and find that its a waste to respray coz according to the previous owner the paintwork is a mth old only(as of today)..

 

2)any1 have stock exhaust lying around willing to sell..? I need a stock one coz mine is a GPR pipe, abit too noisy plus too much backfire..

Hi guys, is it normal for our X9 to get less than 20km/l..? Actually im getting about 17km/l only.. Is it due to the aftermarket exhaust or bad tuning..?

Hi guy, any idea full tank for X9 evo can last for how many KM/h? I asked on behalf of my bro in law..... Tks advice!

To all X9 owners who install aftermarket exhaust pipes on their scoots!!! How many of you guys encounter very often backfiring ( banging explosive sound) from your scoots?? do you also have constant stalling when reaching to a stop when actually you were fine while riding on the highway??

What is the problem?? is it because the insertion of exhaust does not specify properly the requirement of jetting from the carburetor/efi to ensure the air and fuel mixture is done properly???

Nvm have this problem with my X9 500 before.....

But on my X9 200 i do have similar case. The fuel is running 2 rich and create 2 much poping everytime i close the throttle. Idling is also not stable.....Just a change of jetting and tuning by my workshop solve the problem...

But X9 500 is EFI engine. inorder to tune the ECU, we need Power commander or similar tuning equipment.

 

To answer some of your PM....

 

My bike idle is about 1k when hot.

But my charging when idle is only 12.3~12.5V.

On move is about 14.1~14.5V. as i using MP3 regulator and stator coil.

Basically the works of 200 and 500 are the same except carb and efi.I havee a feeling Botak or FS dont have Power commander for tuning EFI engine. If I increase the idle to 1.5k from 1.2 , I worry it would really use alot of petrol. Does your 500 have aftermarket exhaust??

Strangely, my evo which i do not have such exhaust is working find. no stall or pop.

Got off, did some things, got back on, went to start again and there was what sounded like a small pop from towards the back and now i have no lights on the dash when i turn to the key to start position. One dash light lights up for a fraction of a second but then disappears. Any ideas what this could be??

Hi my 2003 X9 Evo needs new (or in good shape) front body panels (where the windscreen attaches) and side mirrors. Anyone know where I can get them? Is there a salvage yard I can go to - cos I am sure the must be a few X9 Evos being scrapped around this period. Any info or pointers appreciated.

check your fuses dude. Maybe something popped due to some circuit issues. There are a set of fuses at the rear below the seat and another set inside the fuel door release lever compartment. if all else ok, than probably your battery popped.
