finally GH is importing the new 2013 650 to sgp in Apr. Machine price is ard $20k.. dunno to chg SRV850 or wait till May for this.

Why?

 

Because... In my opinion,

 

650cc is so--- year 2003/2004.

 

500cc to 850cc is sports oriented & Unpractical.

(I rather ride sports bike/racing replicas)

 

There is a 700cc but a let down.

Not Japanese.

 

And the recent. Misleading large wheelers; 700cc & 1200cc is so... very... NOT a Maxi scooter.

 

why can't they see what sells?

Need your help/opinion..

 

I'm looking for Burgman 400 (preferably first hand and white color) and at the same time i'm intending to sell/trade in my almost 7 years old Kawasaki KRR150.

 

I've emailed to quite a number of shops, enquiring if they got carry Burgman and trading in my KRR150, however the replies have not been encouraging. The reason why i emailed them rather than going down to the shops is due to my busy work schedule.

 

I'm really hoping Burgman riders here can help me in recommending the best shop that is able to help me achieve my objective (as stated above) based on opinions/experiences that they have been through.

currently, suzuki agent is not bringing in new model for 400. the latest are year 2009 or 2010 if i am not mistaken.from this forum, i read that finally after almost a ten year wait , they are bringing a burg 650.

i think many shops dont have any leftover unused burg400. the best of all search for used burg like the above seller ray73

I am rather disappointed. I wished they made 1000cc or higher cc & with higher specs version of the Burgman Executive especially in this era; after ten years wait.

The 'plastic rivets' are rediculously expensive! I bought 3 types (different sizes) and they cost $1.30, $1.90 and $2.20 each! Too bad there are no 'chion' rivets. Even if there are, finding the right sizes will be a pain. Many parts on the Burgman seem to have very specific sizes. eg. I bought the oil filter from Ah Boy, thinking I had a good deal as it stated Suzuki made in Japan and only $6. but after draining all the oil, and took out the old filter, the new one was just slightly too long!

 

But the Burgman is a good and reliable bike, I must say. Nice to ride and has many good features also..

Has anybody face any problem when in the rain my burgman just suddenly engine cut by itself at the expressway, I mange to stop by the roadside and restart again by turning the throttle, mange to travel another 100 meter or so and again it die off. what could be the problem?

 

Maybe its a fuel-injection problem?

 

I experienced this once on my Burgman and another bike also (fazer). However, these were not in rainy situations. Just moving off carpark, suddenly engine die. Restart and continue with my journey; no problems after that.

I'm just guessing its a fuel-injection issue. Is yours a carburattor model? Maybe its better to check with Guan Hoe. They would know if this is a common problem.
