I used to have a Burg 400 2005. Fantastic bike with good fc. Engine was incredible. One time at expreesway, I didnt realise I was pressing throttle until wheeeeeeeey. So sa had to let go but then got me a 650. more wheeeeeeeeey. incredible this scoots are they. just turn throttle and go. no gears, no clutch. to control.

You are right about sscoots have more slip scars. I think tires are not really the main contributing factor of why scoots tend to slip but its the nature of scoots. if you know scoot dont use gears like bikes and if riders dont know how to press the throttle on wet condition, they tend to overtwist and thus causing it to slip.

16.8k OTR including insurance (excluding interest). is it expansive? i felt under value. But my wife like the bike coz the bulky underseat space can put a lot of stuffs. I'm the driver only.

Bro, can tell me which shop you got your Burger? I am intending to get one also. Aiming for the white ABS.

Hi Fj Rider, From your previous rides, I see you are used to big, powerful bikes. I have great feeling for Burg 400 but I worry you may feel its lack of power compared to other bikes you have riden after buying brand new and thus sell away soon after. Just wondering??

still looking for aftermarket shocks for the burgman 400. Silverwing forum seems to have more lobang for these things. Burgman forum seems to no response when such question are posed.

Its possible to get use to it..takes awhile and some patients...also depends if approaching higher age than maybe valid for less hedonistic needs

I'm sure if I had gotten the Burgman, it would serve my purpose which is to be use strictly for transport. Anyway, I am not one of those speed demon, so a 400cc bike should be comfortable enough for me.

Hahaha!!! FJ you surely didnt surprise me. Congrats. wish i have got the strength to handle the Wing's weight guess for me, its her little brother then SWing . You confuse my statement about power. Power is not equal to speed ( demon) but it may lead to speed (demon).

Hi guys..anyone can advice on burgman 250?

First, is it normal for temperature to rise so quickly? Especially in traffic jams mine went all the way up to just before redline. Is the fan spoiled? Otherwise it stays at around halfway mark.

Second, where do i check engine oil level?

Posted

Maiker: I'm interesting ur 3rd brake light & j.costa variator. where do u get n fixed it? Hou much is it?

Little Sweetie: may be the fan not moving

Posted

3rd brake light is a LED strip tapped from the brake light wire. can get from SLT, autobac, SBF,etc...

J.costa variator: the outer pulley came loose 100+km after installation. me was stuck on the ECP then. Since removed and kept in storage, till i dig out more infor from WWW. believe you can get from http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/311117-J.costa-variator if you still wants.

IMO use dr pulley roller better. heavier roller=lower rpm= slower pickup ONLY.

seem like more people moving to silverwing...wats the price now...the more popular it get the better the support base....like super 4....not a bad thing though

Hi,I ride a k10 almost got a Silverwing but after alot of comparision I choose burgman.

1.lighter weight than SW,easier to 'paddle' the bike

2.bigger storage space,can put 2 helmets

3.adjustable back rest, can cater to different riders height

But of course SW engine better cos of 2 cylinders
