Just got my burgman K4 400 back from Guan Hoe workshop at Autobay.

Thumbs up for their workmanship and reasonable charges.

They are truly no.1 for maintaining suzuki bikes.

My burgman engine conrod jammed and stalled engine at msia 2nd link, managed to push it to sg custom then towed to autobay.

Total damage is about 1000, engine overhaul, valve things, conrod, outside mechanical shop work, some bearings, front pulley face, rollers, synthetic EO, plug, coolant, etc.

Results? so smooth like new ride, can hardly hear the revving sound even at 100km/h, idling and riding sound is as quiet as kymco downtown 300. Since I took over it has never been so quiet and smooth. That should be the original burgman 400.

I have been monitoring it regularly like roller/belt/EO/plug, and has been topping up engine oil every fuel tank.

The day before it stalled, had just replaced new EO and EO filter. Suspect could be due to the bearing failure.

The piston was changed few months ago only, so now still sui sui need not change.

I usually ride at 100-110km/h only.

My advice for burgman riders accumulated very high mileage, go to Guan Hoe workshop to service the bike transmission/engine at least every 10k km, or when it rev louder at high speed or noisy idling.

Anyone ever heard of swapping a Burgman 250 K1 engine with a 400cc engine? Is this possible and if so is it likely to cause problems? Because as far as i know everything about the 250 and 400 is the same except the engine size. So im wondering if it can be done.

Hi Burgys, anyone noes where can i find the suspension for K4 250?

i have the original suspension from my 400k3. Change to wilbers when mileage is only 22,000. so the suspension still good. I think it should be same with the K4 250. Let me know if you interested.

Whoa. The new Burgman 650 is super stylish! It's the best looking Class 2 maxi scooter out there!

Beats even the BMW scoot design IMO.

I have owned the Burgman 650 Executive for 4 plus years now..

Still loving it. :)

One of the best "relax/cruising/touring/commuting " 2 wheelers that ever came out of ....., Japan direct.

Maintenance is a breeze.

Still no intention of selling it, for the past years.

I have owned many types of motorcycles & scooters.

However, To date.......

Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive is the longest one,...

I have kept & still keeping. :)

By design:

In my personal opinion.

Seems many new current scooters from other Brand/makes: did follow & borrow some design cue from it.

Even-though, it had been around since late 2003. (Non Executive/Base model).

I also think, they are currently among leaders in Class 2 scooter technology especially in the 'department' of reliability & touring.

The Executive model was released from 2004 featured 'On the fly gear change' from Auto to Manual(5 gears with extra Power button), Anti-lock Braking System(ABS), Folding side mirrors, Humongous under seat storage, backrest, chrome muffler, chrome bar ends, motorized windshield, heated grips...etc .on later models.

To top it of..

There are also some legal aftermarket stuff available for it.

Do your search..Eg..Air & oil filters,exhausts etc.

That is it for now.. Just sharing.

I am rarely online here.
