jus done my servicing awhile ago, hope tml wake up start bike everything solve..! thanks LTC once again~ =)

I did had such a problem when I was on stock battery from factory. Didn't even lasted a year.

If ur still on stock battery might as well change it.

Get a good brand. I always trust Yuasa even though more expensive but can last and store voltage well.

The last time I changed too bad no stock so I took Shinco. It's still good.

I will not go for GPR due to personal experience.

Price wise very cheap but Voltage not good.

Dunno how the battery pass QC.

I think his issue is to have it switch off..

Eh put a switch?

Problems arise from advancement of technology - it causes unnecessary misunderstanding among us humans.

Not easy job if u dunno how so better get workshop to do to save the hassle.

switch yes i will put, but the prob is if i put the switch, people will go tamper with it and thus drain my battery, tts y i want to connect it to be on only when ignition is to ON position

Guys need some advice/help.. recently my bike have been giving me a hard time to start.. any idea what could be the possible reason? even though

its park under the hot sun..! and almost everytime i need to pull the choke to get it start.. i try kick start too but same have to kick alot of time to get it started.. thanks in advance =)

i also have the same problem. bike super difficult to start when i dun ride for 2 days. my mechanic told that if i wanna have a easier time starting the bike, he can adjust the fuel intake (as though pulling choke) but on the condition that i have to sacrifice my fuel consumption (in other words, higher FC).

it might not be the problem of the spark plug or battery. probably u can verify what i've said with ur own mechanic cuz i have yet to try the above mentioned method

For me i start my bike and let it run for 5-10 mins when I'm not using on the particular day.

Mainstand+Gear 1+Ezzyoiler.

It keeps EO in proper condition instead of becoming sludge form.

Charge up the battery with the running engine.

The chain oiling keeps the chain lubricated.

So far engine never fail me when I start it.

I also keep my bike covered so water doesn't go anywhere inside.

Bro thats why use the speedo light wire mah. Cos the light only on when u on ur ignition. Same goes with fixing after market horns. Its all conected to battery with the ignition as switch.

ytd whole bike gave me a surprise, sunday service bike. monday morning slot key, turn key, press the E-start cannot start, try kick start but kick half way stuck.. after a few try here and there pull choke, turn off n on again bla bla bla~ can start alr.. let it warm up thn ride to work.. half way see speedo the bottom right red icon light up! (nt sure if its the temperature icon) thn faster slow down and maintain 80km/h instead of 90~100km/h.. at traffic light thn red light went off after moving off it comes right back.. scare the hell out of me! so after work faster bring to bike shop for check.. the mech change 1 spark plug and top up 'radiator water' and also adjust the idling higher, ask me to keep a lookout for the red light and see if there is any leak from radiator =\ So hope everything is back to normal later when i start bike later!! *pray*

yup my mechanic adjust the idling higher, hoping its the idling problem and not other things~ =)

1. I think difficult to answer. Cos different shops different pricing and private seller also different.

2. Bike condition is of course important. Get someone who really knows about bike to go with u to check the bike. Dun buy just bcos u see u like it attitude. Love and Infatuation is different. LOL...

Find out from the shop wat are their On The Road pricing and wat are their components within the OTR. This is to avoid hidden costs, if any, u will hate the shop and after that post on SBF and maybe kena lawsuit. LOL...

OTR consists of bike price, COE, Road Tax and Insurance... and maybe some more but I forget. U should check the threads in SBF. I believe I saw one guide before about buying second hand MOTORbike.

Buying bike requires some leg work. U gotta have the patience to go from shop to shop to get the best quotes. Again dun buy on impulse. Dun listen to the salesperson sweet talk u. Get the facts and figures and confirm their calculations. The next shop may always have a better offer.

Before u do ur legwork, u may want to check SBF for bike shops with bad feedbacks. Do ur homework and dun become a victim urself or make any wasteful trips. But sometimes comments are biased so again depends on ur homework.

Bring a buddy who is free and knows about motorbike. Dun bring one that become a salesperson who keep telling u "buy lah buy lah". U need one that is a critic. He/She will help u negotiate the price and freebies by condemming the bike and fighting for the best price based on the worth of the bike.

DO NOT PAY DEPOSIT/DOWN PAYMENT FOR MOTORBIKE UNLESS U VERY SURE THAT'S THE ONE U WANT. (No motorshop will spit out the money that u already paid them. Will U?)

That's all. Say somemore later u just buy bicycle... LOL...
