Yea usually people use a vice grip to clamp it down. Before that use a cloth to cover the balancer so it doesn't scratch

Btw, why some ppl say using hammer to knock? I can't seem to find the logic... haha

There is another weight in your handle bar... It's like an insert into your bars... To get that bit out... You need to do abit of knocking... Hehehe...

So the screw is to secure the balancer and the bar end weight? I got a neighbour who said that he removed his stock balancer by using hammer to knock. So I don't understand how the hammer and bar weight works in order for the balancer to come out?

Sometimes Water Seeps Into The Hole Where The Screw Is Screwed In, Therefore Making It Rust And Get Stucked. So By Knocking It, You Will Be Adjusting The Screw A Lil Bit To The Left Or Right Making It Loosened Up & Much Easier To Turn.

juz for some light info. after unscrewwing, the hammer (best if u have those wooden or hard rubber type mallet) is used juz by knocking/tapping lightly on its surrounding while pulling it out as over some time, rust or dirt may cause the fitting to be tighter and u need the tapping effect to "loosen it".

as wat hakim bro said, better use a cloth (wrap around the metal head of the hammer) before u apply. do not use too much force. cheers :cheer:
