morning spankers,

hmm, do yo guys know where got sell the sidestand for spark. Preferably the ones that are not too "bengkok". I bought my spark but the stock sidestand makes my bike lean like almost like 35 degrees. A friend of mine who bought his spark too; on a side-by-side comparison, atleast when he sidestand, he's one doesn't looks like its gonna fall.

O.o

Did you guys compare the sidestand itself to see if they were of similar/different, what you call "bengkokness"? Haha. Besides just placing the bike on its sidestand. Like what L.A.W said, chances are, it is the height of the bike that makes it lean that way, and not the sidestand itself. =)

Hi. It seems like you know quite alot then. So do you work for an insurance company? Or do u work in a bike shop? Do u know how the insurance process actually goes? Yes insurance does not cover bigger engines. This is common for cars who swap engines instead of opting for a higher displacement on the same engine. Which is actually what we're doing now if u're not aware of it already. Stock engine number, chassis numbers are retained so i don't see what's the problem. Unless, let's say that "ade bola ke tak" person, is actually the same "tak ada otak" person to go and confess that he's running a modified engine.

That said, do you know how accident bikes get assessed by insurance companies? What they actually do during the whole "claims" process? If you do, please share. Info such as what actually voids insurance claims, where vehicles are being sent to be assessed, where it goes after that, what paperwork has to be done, what parties have to be informed, etc. Because i roughly know how it goes and as a trade secret i'm not able to let that info out. If not, Let those "idiots" have their way and do up their bikes to their own liking. I'm sure most of us are "idiots" here to think about doing up our bikes without thinking about whether we're gonna be able to claim insurance or not, once something's been done to the bike. And i'm sure if you have friends, most of your friends will fall into that "idiot" category, modifiying bikes without regard of consequences, ie, claiming insurance in the case of an accident.

Don't worry i'm not a keyboard warrior, this is how i am like on and offline. Most here know where to find me, i will not divulge any info to protect my company. Do join us for outings, we all share info during outings, random and all. And please, mind your language because it's not nice calling people names. Some people may actually find it offensive.

Most probably your monoshock is aftermarket ones like YSS which makes the bike higher. So the solution is either weld a nut below the stand or change shock. :)

erm, but I have not do anything with my shocks and suspension. I'm still running stock. hmm. then again, the only option is welding, or if there is actually a way to adjust the degrees to which the bike leans while on sidestand haha...i was hoping to find another solution other than welding.

anw, I'm sorry I don't have the picture to show. But both me and my friend is on stock suspension. except he did down-fork leaving about five finger spacing. if thats the why his one is less leaning than mine than the only way is either to do the same or weld a nut.

Stock bikes are actually quite high. The lean angle when it's on sidestand also quite low. So i think yours is normal, chill bro. Haha. That's why when u compare with your friend's bike who lower his fork already it looks like it's leaning too much. See, yours is normal, his is not.

It usually applies to cars like what Hakim replied to you. Find me a bike that has been caught and had his insurance voided then ill rest my case. They want you to open up, then who want to pay for gaskets, engine oil & workmanship? Its diff compared to car engines where once you pop the hood you can see obviously whether it has been modded to increase the engine capacity or not, for example Proton Wira cars that has been fitted with Mitsubishi Evo engines.

You said you are not here to make enemies then why come here & call ppl names? What kind of impression are you trying to show? No offence to you but its just rude to do that bro. Calling others keyboard warriors, why not come to our next outing and join us? Its all about "ada bola ke tak".

Eh? That line sounds familliar.

Hmmm maybe tyre size? Some tyres are thick which makes the bike higher and some tyres are freaking thin like mine which makes it low like a bicycle!

If youre gonna say ur bike tyres also same as ur friend, then i suggest you go bikeshop, ask them to hammer/bend it to the angle you want. Can be done. Or maybe pictures will make it more clearer.
