bros'...need help on this...i just bought a 2nd hand sparkz standard blue colour...the shop owner said that the bike have been in the shop for 3 mths...fully standard...HE SAID la... FBB plate...jus need to ask...for a standard bike...how fast can it go...? i tried the top speed n its only 120...cant even get any higher...what i know is that for a sparkz 135 standard..it shud at LEAST get about 140-150....n plus..i kinda think the bike air filter has been taken out..coz the sound not the same with normal standard t135...pls help...

I guess its your first time buying a bike from shop? After purchasing a bike from shop always send it for servicing. This applies to all 2nd hand bikes.

hi guys. just joined your club. i am from uk now living in thailand. i have a yamaha x1r 2009 which is a great little bike but it is totally standard. even though this is a thai built bike, you cant buy ANY engine upgrades or information here. please can someone help me and advise me on what i should be looking for. top speed is only 110. is this correct?????? seams very slow...

when brand new was 200km full tank

nope bro...this is my third bike already but my first sparkz...i dont quite know much about the bike actually..

 

why has the air filter been taken out when its fully standard? 120kph fastest? maybe they never service the bike before you took over.. try to change engine oil, oil filter, air filter and maybe even clean the carb bro..

hmm..just checked...the air filter is intact but...it still sounds very light ah...does sparks have sponge in the air filter...? the only smooth time im riding the bike is when its at 80-90...even then the bike is already starting to stress already....ive compared with my frens sparkz... i know something is diff but i cant put a finger on wart....

u might want to consider go for a tuning, change racing cdi to make full use of the airbox-less advantage.. btw i also airbox-less..

juz back from JB A* B*Y... went to change cluthes cable for my SPARKS135.. is very crowded today... den 1 of the mech help mi change and use tools to FORCE open my fairing and leave a crack.. i ask the mech need to use tools to force open ma? the mech told me tat the only way...den i show him by hand also can open but need tactic... he like buay song liao...but never mind.. den he change my cable liao..at first everything was fine when moving off and the cluthes was abit tight,i thought new cable,maybe need 1 or 2 days to season.. but reach singapore custom,i can't even cluthes in and change gear...i was like wtf,thought the cable maybe jam or what..i haf to use all my finger force to cluthe in and change gear.. den i and my friend went to a bikeshop in enous which open till quite late..den the mech at the bikeshop take a look at my cable and tell mi 1 thing tat snook me..

 

"bro,this cable is for X1,the length of the cable also not same"

 

and he take out another to show me,is really not the same length

in the end i need to pay for another piece of cable in sg...

 

now my hand still cramp..learn my lesson,never cos of cheap thing and wasted more money and whole nite

Sorry to hear of your bad experience. As for me I do patronise that shop just for accessories. Then I fix ownself. I never trust their mechs unless the owner himself do then different story.
