HI All,

Talking about safety and protecting yourself this is a question that i'm curious about. you see - a lot of shops have tops but not many have jeans - to buy one overseas costs a bomb so far. So the question is - to save your ass (sorry for the pun) - how much would you be wllling to fork out for a pair of Denim Jeans with Kevlar lining?

from initial posts - it seems that the

try getting draggin jeans, i got a pair for around $200+ i think, but cannot remember exactly how much i paid for it. Good quality jeans

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Thanks for the updates.

I am actually curious about what people would be willing to pay to save their skin...I know for a fact that if you kena one time... the medical bills and not to mention the pain and suffering!!

I've ordered my kevlar jeans from the US - its tideous and after I've paid almost one week ago - i've not seen any news of delivery...

So I'm checking to see if I can bring kevlar reinforced jeans into Singaore in bulk for fellow bikers...

Interested? PM me with your waist size and once I confirm the price - I'll let you know. I'm doing this survey to see if it can even make sense to bring them in.

Your question is quite different from this point you've raised. How?

I'm willing to pay for apparel to save my skin, but I won't buy kevlar-lined jeans because I don't think they offer good enough protection for me. In fact I think a pair of knee guards or knee/shin guards would do better.

So my answer to your question would be, I won't buy kevlar lined jeans, but not because of your reason. I'd rather spend more on proper riding trousers or else knee guards.

thanks for your comments.

My point is - its good to wear proper riding trousers or knee guards - but i'm just wondering about the practicality in terms of daily or even weekend outings. I've got enough comments like "hey robocop!" to make me want to make my next protection gear as normal looking as possible. that's just my thoughts.

Think riding gear might be embarassing? Check out this video, sir:

On practicality, I'd say that putting on, taking off and storing knee guards is much easier for my daily use - strap em on and off I go - as opposed to changing in and out of riding jeans.Plus they work much better to save my skin and bones too. Aesthetically, knee guards can be worn under your trousers too.
