Hi Guys,

Does ur front portion jerks when u apply the front brake? My front portion jerks when I apply the front brake. The jerking is more significant when the speed is slow. I do not know how to describe it. The front braking is not smooth at all.

There's nothing wrong wif your brakes. It's the front fork oil.

Change it to a higher visocity as u have previously discussed with SG.

I have changed mine before at 500. @ S$50. Proved to be very much better.

No regrets at all.

Hi Sun,

WD 40 is good for cleaning exhaust pipe..why? it base on petroleum distillates- it will remove/dissolves almost all dirts...those hard dirts, need some assisstants.

Using it on chain!!! - it'll strips all the lubrications from the chain- you must understand that, this product is not waterproof it is washable.. after that you must lubricate the inner side of the chain..! if not rust will settle in..

Using WD40 on Exhaust have no effects at all....I use it on those stubborn road tars/stains they wipe off easily..while the exhaust are warm.

If you can buy those 3m stainless steel cleaner(can colour light blue with chrome top) from DIY -cost about $13+ or something.. I've been using it after every wash -it leaves a thin film which protects and makes it shine. Very simple to use shake the can, spray over the cleaned exhaust pipes and at those foot rest/pegs- wait for the foam to settle then -later wipe it off with the toilet roll(tissues)

Hi SG,

Tks for the advise, I'll go DIY shop check out the item.

Hi Guys,

I went to biketech21 yesterday. Of course I enquire abt the super flip up screen. They told me I'm going to wait long long time bcos there is no demand for it. After talking to them further, then I realise why wait long long time. It's bcos they do not intend to bring it in bcos it's not cost effective for them to bring it in. So it's actually they don't want to bring in not the shipment will take time....sigh. Anyone still wanna upgrade their screens? Maybe we can order a few pieces so that there'll be "demand" for it for the to bring in?

I actually email Ermax asking for the price & shipment instead of approaching Motorworld. I was quoted £73.36p (GBP) and the carraige from UK to singapore would be £30.00p. The screen is + 10cm over standard screen.

I checkout GIVI. I was quoted $180 for a height of 52cm.

Sigh.....seems like no more tall wind screen liao.....

Hi Handsome buggers,

Anyone interested in getting skidmarx products like super flip up screen, front fender extender or headlight protector?

Since Biketech said that there's no demand for skidmarx product, so they don't bring in stuff (see my previous posting), I'm thinking of us consolidating all our orders so that the shipment will be more worthy for them to bring in, hopeful have discount as well.

Anyone?

Casper,

Since u can't get the fender extender previously, u still want to try?

Hi Ah Nick,

The rack cost $170/ last installed by 'SUN' 2 days back...(you must bring along the givi base plate).

Yamaha have the OEM rear top box mounting bracket (can be seen on the TP bikes) but price, cost and waiting wise people preferred to do at SK.

Hi Ah Nick,

It dosen't effect the side panniers at all -take about 3 to 4hrs for SK to do it, there are 3 different type of bracket it all depends on your budget! more budget fancier brackets.

You should join us when we have meet ups, you can ask all the questions you want.!

There are some personnely modified divvy's on the web site you can check out the msn diversion or YDCN and there are other few dedicated web sites too! e.g as you say bigger tank... off road, racing type, with side car..you name it...

But not locally! we try to keep it as close as to the original as possible!. WHY! people will buy over because it is still in original condition.!
