Hi Swift,

First you must understand that between your bike and the road, your tyre is the only contact so put the best!!! ( not the cheapest :nono: )

Bt020 tyres is recommended why tested and satisfied by alot - and it is recommend for our weather you can ride with confidence! rain or shine!

Bt020 is a Sport touring tyre- it especially made for Sport tourering bikes.

Lately most tyre manufacturer already have balanced their tyre at the factory itself. You can see it on the tyre the yellow or red colour small circle, it is the indication where the tyres' valve supposed to be in aligned.

Lately you don't see any weight on the latest rims- Why? rims are alredy balanced during the process, sometimes you can see those small humps along the rims' spoke.

There are other riders who-have mounted different brand of tyres but after the cameron highland trip they have alot to say... :giddy: Check that trip page out!

Hi pple,

I'd an unhappy afternoon bcos something happened to my div.

I finally find a time that I can service my bike after so long since I bought it. When I came back I found my fuel tank being scratched after the mechanic removed it.

Initally the shop owner wanted to touch up for me but I said I want a respray. He promised to respray it to original condition.

But my question is: Will I be able to get back the same color tone? I've heard from pple that the pressure used & the way the bike was painted is very different from what painters here do. So can see the different if it's resprayed or not. Should I do it or just leave it? I'm very scared that the fuel tank after its respray, it'll not blend in with the other parts bcos of the tone.

Anyone with respray experience, pls kindly advised. Tks

Here's a pic of the scratch from far. Can see it?

Hi Sun,

Even the HL also cannot bring the spray work exactely to the original condition-only closer...So in the event that the workshop wants to spray for you just let them do it ask them to do a good job -why worry???

Reasonly I know only casper did some respray...you can ask him.!

Any chance for you to put a tank bra!! ~it's already covered the tank! after your spray-work done only.

Hiya,

For spray painting jobs, only shop that can replicate the factory colours would be Teo Spray Painting at Defu. They cost more, but the job done is very good. Even the agents sometimes use their services to get the original colours.

Sun, that's a very deep scratch. Whack the shop owner ask him for respray and 1 tank bra as compensation. After that don't ever go back there to service!

Thats why we must always be careful when deciding on the shop to service our bike. So far, hong leong is the best. they will place your tank on a movable trolley instead of letting it lying around the floor. That's why we pay more for their servicing.

I resprayed my whole fairing (cowling) b4 due to accident at HL. They did a very good job. The resprayed colour is about only 5% darker than the original tone. Not noticable at all. Ask the bike shop to send your fuel tank to HL for respray.

Hi Casper & SG,

Ya...a deep one. The pic that I took is after touching up. Initally it was even "deeper".

The shop owner guranteed me that after respray, it'll be exactly the same or even better than what is it now. I'm quite apprehensive.

If anyone of u notice ST side mirror, especially maroon ST, the maroon color tone will never be able to get back. Those who resprayed or changed a mirror, u'll notice that the tone is not there. It'll be slightly pinkish.

That's why I'm very worried that the tone willl not be the same, then will screw up the whole bike's paintwork.

Condolences??? I needed that very much....I'm very very sad.....tks anyway casper.

OMD,

Tks for the infor. The shop owner told me that there're cheapo & expensive types of spray work. Both of course will give different quality of output. He claimed that he will send to the expensive type....well, I'll never know.....

hmmmm that bike is FV. comes with Crash Bar and Rear Box bracket... Shop selling $13k~~~ My friend went to view~~ wow~~ Kill people put fire ~~

Define Danger

More time on road = More Danger

Less time on road = Less Danger

Slower Speed = More Time On Road

Faster Speed = Less Time on Road

Thus

Less Time on Road = Less Danger = Faster Speed~~

Guess which word had this meaning.

1. Any code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another, esp. an unwritten code of sexual behavior permitting men more freedom than women.

2. A set of principles permitting greater opportunity or liberty to one than to another, especially the granting of greater sexual freedom to men than to women.

3. A set of principles establishing different provisions for one group than another; also, specifically, allowing men more sexual freedom than women.

Wow,

Interest for this bike seems 2 be picking...

Never knew an 80s design bike could entice so many newer young riders into the frame. Whatever it is, its nice 2 see interests.

Anyway Sun, the silver colour, rather the octave of the tone, we have on our bikes is easily matched by those at the spray shop. Perhaps the onli difference is that it looks 'more shiny' as compared.

Patch work can be done almost to 100% using putty to cover the creveses, and the final paint job finishing up the restoration.

These small cosmetical defects are jus, on the surface... Dont let it bite u or eat into the enjoyment of the ride.

Cheer up, nothing to be sad.

Cheers mate!!
