Good to hear from u, "d thread starter". I thought u have sold your bike cos MIA for so long.

Ah Nick

i actually regretted installed d GIVI bracket for d top box. cos i find it very difficult to remove d side fairing to access d battery.

SG

i would suggest u still carry on to use your existing Skidmarx till u condemn it is OOO. i remember an austrailan divvy screen manufacturer (Eagle Screen) made d screen to your height, may b u can find it out from here. cos i have read an article (they discuss) with regards to this before. i attach a pic.http://groups.msn.com/AustralianYamahaDiversionOwnersClub/_whatsnew.msnw

Hi Ah Nick,

My super flip skidmarx, 1yrs to be exact, have those tiny hair-line cracks covered almost 80% of the screen, it only can be seen under the street/sun light and at certain angles only. I worry this might make the windscreen weak.

So think about it.

I don't know about other buggers skidmarx windscreen condition..!

I very seldom or avoid parking my bike under strong sun...most of the time it is shaded~ back home mscp and at work place under shelter.

Maybe can be due to the material quality or I put stress on the screen during all those rides!!! either way if this is the case -I would not recommend it to anyone!

for safety wise!

Silverghost...o_O

There is a small portion on the upper left corner of the windscreen that has that as u mentioned. I noticed awhile after a heavy impact on it, heavy eunf to cause the plastic screws to break.

I though perhaps it was it was a stress induced faults introduced within, hoping that this wont 'spread' much over time as a phenomen of the effect as mentioned.

1yr later, the spreading was noticable but it was not that much. Overall i still feel relatively confident that it will hold up in time to come at the speeds i ride at.

Jleo,

I understand that you have the kangtao for the lobster lunch place in Pengerang, is that correct?

The rest of the gang,

Due to something that came up kinda unexpectedly earlier today, I might have a small problem for this coming Pengerang day ride. I am trying to sort things out on my side. Will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

Not exactly a 'kangtao' but more of a place a friend of mine told me that has cheaper lobsters.

I'll go inquire about details on my side.

Hope u can join us 4 the ride on sat.

Hi Palary,

Good to hear from you :cheeky: long time No see/Hear from you..! About the wind screen, I had this problem earlier but it started only at the top small portion well, I didn't take much notice of it. Untill now it spread to almost 80% ...:giddy:

Maybe as you say- it can be cause by speed stress during those speed rides, the screen will bend back to certain degrees.

So you guys keep an eye on it (tiny hairline cracks & tiny airlocks)....!

Palary-how man?? coming along for small tantalizing lobster fest. :hungry: he,he,he...!

I try to use my screen till it is really bad, then no choice but to condemn it..

SilverGhost,

Not too worry about the itinerary. We keep it "relaxed", no pressure. I am still sorting out the issue on my side. Whatever it is, I will be at Woodlands Esso before 0700hrs this Saturday.

We take the consensus of everyone, as to whether we should head for Pengerang straight or stop over at Kota Tinggi. Anyone else has any inputs/feedbacks/suggestions/request, please do so.

Also, what happened to Mr. Clear Carbon?
