Welcome back to all the Samui riders and pillions.

What a waste that me and my wife could not join in for the big fun.

Maybe we shall have a local meet up to have some update/feedback/viewing of photos...

Hello Diversion owners... I've been following both Diversion and TDM forums for quite sometime.

It seems that both are similar except one is chain-driven(TDM) and the other is shaft-driven(Diversion). I doin a small research on what class 2 bikes i should get and preferably with touring ability.

After much consideration, Im left with two choices which is Diversion or TDM. Since im a beginner in class2 bikes, i got a few questions and hope Diversion owners could help me come to a decision.

1) Is TDM the newer version for Diversion? eg. African Twin's newer version is Varadero

2) How much does Diversion cost OTR and is there any 1st hand bikes? (Rough guess if age 25-30)

3) Is it the same engine as TDM?

Both the Diversion and TDM or totally different bikes.

One's a 4 the other's a 2. Air cooled, liquid cooled. Efi, Carbs.

One need not read all 200+ pages to know these. Just have to "follow both Diversion and TDM threads for quite sometime".

And personally, i do think that Custom answered all questions correctly and politely.

Hey bro, just because of the answers n a minor comment that u get makes you angry n miss out a very very good bike. That shouldn't be a class 2 attitude. Be more open to comments n u will learn more.:thumb:

Hi Tranceaddict,

Used less than a min to complie this technical info on these two yammy bike.

So you don't need to follow the hundreds of pages, which is mainly junk.

You gotto ask yourself, what type of riding activities are you looking at.

1. Local ride, touring (only on highways and trunk roads), very very few maintenance, no worry when travel super long distance (1000km or above) then don't need to look back, get Diversion.

2. Local ride, touring (highways, trunk roads), offroad lover, don't mind to have more maintenance to look after, got to bring a bottle of chain lubrication along when go for super long distance. Then TDM is your choice.
