Cant remember how much i bought it, bought from Newenough.com. That was before Oxtar changed name to TCX.. Its actually Oxtar Airtech GTX XCR (GTX XCR meaning Goretex XCR). Its exactly the same as TCX Air Tech XCR, but since the company changed name frm Oxtar to TCX the price increased alot!

I bought cheaper then the current TCX price, but abit wasted also. When TCX was introduced Newenough had a closeout sale on all the OXTAR brand of boots and it was dirt cheap!

Any problem while heavy rain ? thanks.

Saw that advertisement, and they look good. Reasonably priced, though I wouldn't mind it being a bit lower. :cheeky: Have you tried them on for comfort while walking?

I bought from Chiap Lee. So far when raining no problem... but end of year monsoon rain havent come yet so can't be sure...

Update: No problem during rain, even very heavy storms. Saved my feet in a 80-90km/h crash. I replaced them with another pair of the same model. Excellent boots!

there is no ankle protection. safety boots are meant for use in workshops etc.

not for riding. altho you can still wear but defeats the purpose.

riding boots has more ankle protection.

Hi, Will you feel hot when riding in a sunny afternoon and for whole day? Is it leather finish? I'm looking for a shore/boots for on and off bike, plus waterproof. Actually is all in one usage. Please share your opinion with me, Thank you.

I wear these TCX boots almost every day, and they feel great. Light weight, comfortable and waterproof.

Try RS Taichi RS001.

very comfortable, even for walking is good.

All waterproof boots will feel hot unless it's goretex.

i remember a thread about riding boot but looks formal as well.

those are pretty good looking too, for me at least. no need to change into other shoes. 1 shoe to rule them all! too bad i forgot the brand. any kind hearted brothers here can give me the brand again? and the local seller.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

i think u are refering to blundstone .... the other thread should be this one discussing about boots that go well with office wear http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140365

personally i have the blundstone dress version ... good stuff but never tested it  it is loose at the top so i am not sure how it will holdup in a slide on the tarmac or holding the ankle together in an impact collision. currently, the left boot is destroyed by gear shifting, now looking towards dedicated riding boots though, there's really no such thing as a do-it-all footwear.
