i tested my fiancee's R model and found it to be very underpowered..

I got 180km/hr at 4th gear..

kick up to 5th gear.. drop a lil then get back 180..

kick up to 6th gear.. drop to 160.. very slowly up to 180..

me myself previously rode an L model..

dun feel the pickup on the current R model..

full throttle and the rpm max out at 13k or 12k.. thats it..

the bike's all stock.. header, sprockets & jetting..

and i just changed my clutch plates..

 

i'm not sure whether it's me as i've been riding the 1000 for quite some time and gotten use to the power at a twist of the throttle..

my L model also releases power when i tug a lil of my throttle..

which dun seem to be the case for my fiancee's current R model..

my mech says this is norm for the R model..

 

rhema..

since you're riding an R model too..

i noe you removed the powercut(cdi bypass)

gets higher rpm faster now?

what jettings are you using.. and sprocket sizes..

pls advise..

mayb u shld try change to L or hurricane header, kenso or dynojet kit, aftermarket pipe & upsize ur rear sprocket by 1 teeth to 40, cut the wire restrictor @ the speedometer & remove the other restrictor @ the carb on the right side :sweat: :sweat: kekekeek.... mayb rhema doin other mob

Try DErestriction at e carbs...

L header

Aft market endcan

jet kits....

 

U may wanna change to racing clutch springs....

lastly tune up e carbs properly...

2002 - 2005 : NSR150SP

2005 - 2008 : CBR400RRL

2008 - : Wave S 125

 

Since June 2006 :Touring ( History )

i forget liao wat color is the wire ;p hahahaha.... carb restrictor is round shape... juz need to take it out ... check ur carb stacks too.... for R model usually 2 of dem is partially blocked... changed the stacks w/o ani blockage 1 ;p... R1 fast oredi wat... hhahaha

hi guyz.. i m looking to replace my CBR400 blade's radiator cap.. i saw Shell stations selling radiator caps.. so i was tinking are all radiator caps for all vehicles similar?

 

could i buy the ones in Shell to replace mine? or do i haf to get back original ones?

it possible to use those aftermarket as i'm currently using one right now...

Evryting is ok to change but the jet kits..dun trust Dynojet or Factory..they are sh*t.std better unless u have Kenso n HRC..Dynojet n Factory tested n std works better

hi i already changed the radiator cap liao.. but it seems like the problem is still ard!!! argh!!

 

wen the temp gauge hits between 1/2 and 3/4.. before the fan kicks in.. and at this point i off the engine.. coolant vents out from the coolant overflow reservoir from the rubber hose near the right foot rest.. i juz replaced the radiator cap yesterday..

 

prior to replacement of the cap.. wenever the fan kicks in or at a temp near there.. the bike will juz overflow coolant onto the ground wen i m on the road.. i m damn scared the coolant will kena my legs and it affects my concentration wen i ride..

 

i alreadi flushed the system twice and top it off liao...

 

i realli dunno wat is wrong already..

Go do a switch for ur fan...den b4 it hot u on the fan den coolant wun overflow le ba ??? :sweat:

erm... i gt the same pro... maybe radiator gt problem... check out wit ya mech... mine need 2 b change... when nite ridding temp can b at mid...

install anothe switch is oso gd...
