Eh bro..

I dont get you. If petrol is corrosive, then why isnt the block cylinders and carbs corroded? Then why do mechs wash carb with petrol?

Even if unburnt petrol remains in the cyclinders, i doubt it will cause any corrosion.

vik common sense lah comeon.. u blow the petrol goes to the combustion chamber, the space between the top of the piston and the plug and u kill ur engine causing the spark plug to not fire thus there is this small amt of petrol in tt area.. so now i ask u when u clean ur aprilia valve when u use petrol to brush against it wad happens? all the carbon deposits and wadeva oils gets washed away. so imagine ur'e slowly washing ur pistons clean. while ur bike is being parked due to gravity petrol will flow downwards slowly thus "cleaning" the pistons of the 4t which most ppl want as much 4t as u can to stay arnd ur piston areas so tt on the next crank. the friction between the piston and the block not so siong. imagine doing the deed without lube.. ouch.. so definitely blowing before hitting the kill switch is a big nono :cheer:

omg vik u juz got burnt by a N lvl holder :cheeky:

Bro,

Is it really true tat petrol will wash away the 4T overnight??

I dont think so eh. I'm sure the 4T will be evenly coating the pistons and the cyclinder walls right?

Anyway, what i want to know is what was the point of blowing before offing the engine anyway? Which guy came up with this, and wat was the reason for it?

hehe.. Sorry ah, i not as smart as you.. lol

u see bro... ur engine oil are constantly sprayed onto ur bearings and engine internals while ur engine works... when the engine stops, the final coat of engine oil is sprayed into the engine..

when ur blip ur throttle when u off the engine.. the petrol which is a solvent.. in lay mans' terms.. it works like a soap.. it washes the oil off the engine internals.. den u off the engine.

when u start ur engine tmr morning.. it will start with no or little oil on ur parts.. so wear n tear increase significantly..

so in short, dun do it..

To follow up on this... I got another question to it. Let's say for some reason I need to blow before I switch off the engine. How long do I need to let it remain idling before I switch off my engine so that it get coated with 4t, or enough 4t?

Best is dun blow lor...lol

By the way...Any cbr's interested in meeting up for talk c*** sessions or what man ?

Hmm....Let's chop a date... :cheer:
