i just read that lta approves the use of white halogen bulbs. can get from the shop next to ah boy for 8 bucks. its a blue bulb but produces white light. at low rpm, it looks amber. tzm u know lah, must rev than brighter

it is illegal, to modify to xenon(HID), as it needs a stabiliser as well. even though u put stabiliser, they dont approve it unless ur stock bulb was HID. anyway this stupid bulb draws a lot of current

at times, u can see 4 wheel idiots mod to HID, but never put stabilier and ur mirror reflect the glare until u cannot see

the thing is that HID doesnt use filaments. just one arc of current. like lightning. the stabiliser controls the reflector. when install onto a normal reflector problem for us.

what i normally do is slow down, go behind the car and put to high beam. give him a taste of his own medicine

can install the flemn horn from ah boy. like car horn. legal

cannot install thos electric air horn, like malaysia lorry. that one also ah boy got sell

if u choose to purchase the flemn horn, dont forget the relay. if not wont work properly

i think for this bike it only comes in one size as our block cannot be rebored.. correct me if i'm wrong..

Anybody knows where's the powercut for this bike ? some say its the rpm meter, some say the cdi...which one ?? :giddy:

tzm piston got only 1 size, that is size A

malaysia got 1 shop claim to have a, b, and c piston. use vernier caliper to measure, all three same size

tzm block sensitive to rebore as it will knock the power valve. but i think slightly rebore can, provided u can find an appropriate bigger after market piston.

tzm powercut is in the cdi. unlike rvf, the powercut is in the speedo. which means u can full drag every gear but speed cannot go above 180(unless mod).

tzm powercut the cdi rpm to 11.5-12. so every gear can drag to 12000 only. therefore topspeed will be limited to about 180(stock sprocket and tyre) and 220(mod) at gear 6.

i got try malaysia cdi. the rpm can go above 13000---------

but the spark is not powerful and sometimes out of nowhere the spark very strong causing piston to sieze.

I changed mine to "Thai" racing CDI... But did not try the RPM top.

Hey guys,

I posted this at the Hands-On Forum... No response so far... Anyone here have some experience/comments?

I recently changed my rear suspension on my TZM... to KYB(Japan)...

Unfortunately, within a space of 1 month+, the seal broke and i'm back to riding a horse....

The mechanic told me that it's becos of me carrying a pillion whose too heavy for the rated suspension, causing the suspension to burst it's oil seal...

therefore no oil=no damping...

On my own i already weight 100kg, add my usual carry on stuff(raincoat, books etc) i already weight more then most TZM riders = their pillions...

I am thinking of fitting a suspension from a bigger bike, maybe CBR400 or GSX400 to my bike...

Aside from getting it to fit, would there be any adverse side-effects and will it solve my problem?

:bouncefire: :bouncefire: :bouncefire:

I believe the suspension can be adjusted to the maximum withstanding load according to the scale shows on it. Before buying, think you've to ask on like MBL (Maximum Breaking Load). The meaning of these words don't apply to the suspension... The meaning's meant for wire rope... haha.

try to look for Ah boon at Excel cycle..think he can help u solve ur problem..I'm seen Y125Z using Penske shocks..so I guess TZM also can fit.but think it'll be really ex...Ah boon service my fork the other day,now very nice to corner...but they damage my homemade vaccum tank..have to do it again...

abt the piston ring size,I also heard abt the A,B and C sizes..hmm...

dont go and fix big bike suspension to small bikes. like those idiots fitting super 4 suspension to rxz. its only gonna make ur bike stiffer and gripless at corners.

there is a chance that the suspension u got may have fault. if u get it from some reliable shop in malaysia, its quite likely its original as KYB has branch in malaysia, not singapore(distributors).

but they still bear the japan sign as they are the home country.

i have seen elephants sitting on tzm in malaysia on original suspension in malaysia
