You get more power without airbox... Imagine without a airbox filtering unwanted particles.........

For the sound... I believe is the silencer... Do something to it to lower down the rev sound.

TYRES!!

ok this has probably been debated to death, and i tried the search function and browsing the forum but didn't find much, maybe its my newbie-ness...

so recommendations on tyres for the TZM? I want to get a pair asap as i find mine not very sticky, and the other day was the first day driving in the rain and it was like ice!! very sketchy, couldn't touch the rear brake as the wheel would just skid... and i've driven lots of bikes in lots of rain before...

i can't remember the type of tyres i have on now, never heard of the name before (should have written down before coming online) edit: i checked one of my pics, excella el32?? tyre wheel pic

but i am looking for a good tyre, nice and sticky, not concerned about wear, won't be doing much touring or such, and rideable in the rain... i am not a racer, won't be doing trackdays, and not many high speed runs... basically like to get around town, open her up for a bit on the high ways, and love the twistys in the mountains and jungle, so like them to stick...

any thoughts/recommends greatly appreciated!!!

cheers!

and budget wise i don't want to spend a fortune, but am comfortable spending more money if i get a better/safer tyre

i also have two choices when sourcing for my bike last time. Either a first hand KR or a second hand tzM... in the end after considering the insurance and resale value, i ended up getting my M. Never regretted since...

excella el32?? never heard of it and it doesn't look sticky enough. You can like me, try Bridgestone Battlax Bt 39 ss for front and Bt 090 110/70 radial for rear. Gives good feeling when cornering... see attached pic below. Btw picture taken after doing donuts !!! haha.. cheers ! :cheer:
