And don't park under trees. Or certain trees to be more exact, esp at night when birds normally return to the same tree to rest for the night. I've observed they tend to check clear in the mornings before heading off for the day.

i'm not worried about my car. I normally just wait till my next wash cos i can still sit clean and comfortably inside. But if a bird shits on the bike seat...wow...teruk man.

I guess that cover idea is good...but i don't see many people covering bikes.

Also not worried about parking at my home as i have a covered basement. Its when i'm outside that i worry.

Any other ideas?

eh before u park ur car, recce the site first....

look for any **** mark on the ground....

if there is, most likely the site is a frequent arti-bombartment, then park else where.

hope it helps!

Find another parking space. I park mine under multi-story car park, which is a few minutes walking distance from where I stay.

But bird droppings are known to be caustic, and eat at your car's finish. Better to clean it asap, esp if you just sent your car in for a polish/shine.

best is not to park under a tree.

thanks for the ideas...think the wet wipes idea is really good. after driving for so many years, i'm resigned to the fact that birds simply like my car. so its ok...i'm more worried about the bike i'll get when i pass my 2b...i'll certainly have my wipes ready!!

about the bird **** being caustic...i think its overrated. after all, i never had paint problems after driving so many years with different cars. i suppose as long as wash within the week should be alright...with a bike its different i'm sure...especially if the **** is on the seat...or handlebar...haha...i'll wait and see :-)

i alws had my wet wipes ready in my box after the 1st incident of arti-bombardment lo...

sometimes, u will get different kinds of bombardments... sometimes it's white in color, sometimes it's green in color...

whites r those birdies poos... green r their vomits... really kns...

hey...i never thought of having a small towel around to wipe after rain. that is something to think about. but won't use it to wipe off bird poo lah.

hey...is it EVERY bike will have some storage space to keep these things one? or is it i must get some kind of bag/box?

usually bike that can remove seats 1 got abit of space for u to keep all these underneath... if not some people is just tie to their handle bar or stuff it in between here and there. but people might just take and use w/o returning also lah...

sigh. i never realized how biking is SO different from driving. i mean, the riding part is fun and all. but handling traffic, parking, storage and being subject to theft and abuse is really something i'm not yet familiar with handling. i'm sure i'll figure it out eventually.
