First response to your first post in this forum.

Ask as specific question & you will get a specific answer. Ask a generic question & few would bother to respond.

Honda vs Aprilla vs Kawasaki - Which model bikes & better in what sense?

get honda sp ride for one year then upgrade to bigger bike, less heart pain

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Don't waste money. Go get a street bike like RX-Z. You get speed like a sports bike and comfort of a street bike. Change to spoked rim, sotong tyres, remove unnecessary weight, pump V-Power plus fuel additives, change pipe, fast throttle etc etc. Now i am making myself regret not getting a Z. Sigh.

For new bikers, it is always very tempting to jump into buying bike.

saDdy_J, ask yourself what kind of bike are you interested in. Street bike / Racer / Chopper etc. Then work out a budget you are comfortable to pay. I.e. downpayment, monthly installment, monthly expenses etc. Once you have decided what kind of bike to buy and your budget, then go shop around for those different brand and shortlist the models you are interested. When you are done, then it would be easier to compare the difference between those bikes.

Asking for a comparison between brands of bikes is really too wide a topic to talk about.

Hope that helps.

thanks. i'm interested in sport bike. going to take my bike license this coming june. so in the mean time just doing some research in bike. i intend to buy a second hand bike once i get my license. but is it wise to buy a second hand bike? any recommendation for a class 2b sport bike, that is less fuel consumption, and speed is ard average? by the way, how much would be the price range for second hand bike. thanks.

Hi saDdy_J,

I guess one year later after obtaining 2B license, chances is that most riders would get their class 2A. And that's a very big temptation to resist for not upgrading to a bigger bike. If you think you have a chance of upgrading to a class 2A bike one year down the road, then it is financially wise that you buy a 2nd hand bike after getting your license. I would suggest that you try looking for bike around 1-3years old so that the bike won't give you much maintenance problem, that is if your budget permit.

Second hand bikes varies quite a bit depending on factors such as age of bike, paint work and most importantly, how eager you appear right at the door step of the bike shop. I'm not able to give comment on the price range as I'm not familiar with it. Rough guide, spend sometime checking out the bikeshops and search around in the forum for bike sales.

Have fun riding and shopping for your new toy. :thumb:
