heard from my friend that their company will be launching a mega-pixel HD video recorder soon.. think it comes with a mounting for bikes or car, like not a bad idea.. he showed me the picture quality, really very good.. thinking of getting that, cos' he zoom in on the car plate in front still very clear. Anyone else interested to find out more? I'll go ask him if you guys have any questions.

oh ya. adesmond2 you may be interested in this.. video directly stored in micro sd card. if i remember correctly price is about $350..

i always thought it isn't very safe to mount a full camcorder on the tank...won't it obstruct you when you are riding? that's why i am thinking of using a bullet camera that can be mounted on the handlebar or something...

For those who want to use their P&S digicams to film their rides, can consider this cheap method of mounting your cams onto the bike itself, if you have a suitable mounting point on your handlebar.

Quite ok lah, those situations, accidents can avoid easily one.

You should see mine.... .... :sian:

So near, the only thing the camera was recording was the number plate of the car that cut into my lane during a 90 degree turn, and nothing else...

A very good idea to DIY. The only issue that I have is water, still wondering how to cover the camera from the wet.

nice one.. but i wonder is there any other ways to record a ride other den using cameras? Maybe, HP? or something to install on our bike like those $30 camera and we connect the wiring to some device and install memory card? those can put on your bike permanently..

I used my HP, but the video resolution sux - 176x144 :faint: tailgate lorry also cannot see plate no.

higher end HP can, their batteries also better and nowadays lots of phones come with 4GB and above cards, not to mention some slimmer phones are 100g light!

So now im waiting for a few nokia HP to be launched in SG, their video resolution is 640x480, i hope it'll be clear enuff so it'll be more convenient for me.

Meanwhile, Lutein sis, feed us with the videos! It's an inspiration to know there is many like minded riders ard! :thumb:
