i did some research on the real 808 #16 keychain camera. the new #16 v2 comes with 120 degree wide angle lens which cost USD43.99 on eBay. just to clarify, is the keychain camera waterproof?

the 2 way has 25fps which i did my research and found that there is not much difference as compared to the 1 way 30fps. yes, although 30fps recording is better in quality but the human eye cant really see the difference and it uses more memory that the 25fps. ultimately, it still boils down to what a person needs.

Not waterproof but it should be quite splash proof. There is a v2? When something bad happens that extra 5fps will really be of help and do not forget the resolution too.

could it be that the video was too small since the image of both front and back cam were placed side by side?

I suspect too that the youtube video actually doesn't show the full capability. The camera spec is 720p, but the youtube quality is only up to 480, and that too with the two videos combined side by side. I hope beesee_sg_2001 can upload a few full quality videos for us!

yup, there is a v2 that comes with 3 different lens, A, B & D. here is the video to see the difference between the lens http://vimeo.com/46375068

what i'm afraid is that while using the camera while riding and there is a sudden downpour with no visible shelters for the next few hundred meters or 1 km. in this case, will the camera spoil?

@xueling. If its just e size of video then its fine. But if its e recording size small then it will become a problem.

Keychain camera can diy rainproof. Most cameras r not waterproof btw. Waterproof is throw in water still can live and record. :)

so far only GoPro is waterproof. normal cameras like olympus, fujifilm, panasonic and sony have waterproof models. the 1 selling at motoworld is waterproof (as stated on the website)

@Beesee. U ve to take a motion video on bike to really test e result. Becoz taking a still video as compared to on e road video really different. E wind, sunlight, night no light, vibration, moving objects all will affect ur video quality.

@Azmil. I think e new hero2 $499 comes with e waterproof case.

@xueling. Try searchin for action cameras instead. There is actually a fair bit on e market. Just not much sold in sg stores.

all gopro cams come with the waterproof case...

just not all of the accessories needed to mount...

so need to buy the accessories you need separately...

I think this is just semantics :sian:

To me, if a waterproof case is included at no extra cost, and if the camera can be mounted/used as per normal with this case, it is considered waterproof for all practical purposes.

Let us concentrate on the functionality that can be achieved instead :)

I have installed the CEO player into my PC and have viewed the video.

Quality wise not bad.

Got GPS showing a Googlemap in a separate window tracing the route travelled.

Now i am trying to upload the video but i am NOOB in doing this, so can some kind soul teach me in point form?

Cheers Bernard

It will be useful for insurance claims i guess.

Sometimes the exact spot of the accident is crucial.

Thanks for uploading.

I was also expecting a slightly bigger video, since the spec says it goes up to 720p. Does it look much better on your own PC? Are you able to read vehicles' number plates etc? I think in the current form it is partially usable - if the other party is still at the scene, you have a record of what happened. But if they left the scene, you can't track them down without the number plate being readable.
