However, we ultimately repent by listening to a speech made by our Father (leader).

The meet up offically ended after the speech. Some of the riders decided to had down Changi Village for lunch, some stayed at a cafe next to the chapel, others had other matters to attend to.

Me? I had lunch at the cafe next to the chapel. Its called "Bark Cafe". Although it sounds very pet friendly, actually its not. This place has a signboard that says pets are not allowed. Dog owners, forget about bringing your dog here.

Love the look of those bikes. When I was young, I dreamt of getting a Ducati 916 after I saw it in red but stopped as I never progressed beyond 2B. Maybe when I m old and have more time and more disposable cash, I will go continue my 2A and my 2 and buy a Ducati just to own one in this lifetime. :cheeky:

Dear all senior Ducati owners

Could anybody kindly, educate me what does 50% reduction in maint. means in reality? What does 100% of this 50% is to start with?

can we put this down in dollars and cents?

many thanks!.....

Ducati's marketing material contains this bold statement:

"50% less maintenance cost on every 2007 Ducati

We are proud to announce that all 2007 Ducati models require less frequent service, fewer parts and less labour during each service and, as a result, greatly reduced scheduled maintenance costs - by as much as 50%. Reducing the cost of service when you visit your Ducati Dealer for maintenance is one way to measure the new quality of Ducati. It also contributes immensely to making the Ducati ownership experience as satisfying as the Ducati riding experience. Research and development is the number one investment at the Ducati factory. This investment in performance and quality includes our factory processes, machinery and the people who build each Ducati. By 'engineering-in' quality through design, materials and testing, every Ducati owner will enjoy significant and quantifiable improvements in every Ducati motorcycle. To a rider, the best measure of quality is the riding experience. You can feel a new smoothness to the legendary Ducati L-Twin, a more progressive nature to the powerful brakes and more confident road holding in every turn. Reliability and quality - one ride is all the proof you will need.

50% less - 100% Ducati.

Standard equipment in every 2007 model."

Maybe that's why they don't allow dogs in? Perhaps there are "Other Forces" dining together with us in that cafe? Dogs can supposely see those things and they will bark like crazy??? o_O

it's mostly marketing... they have increased service intervals and set fixed service costs (in the US). good details are in this article.

http://www.bikeland.org/story.php?storyID=30661

I guess you should ask Minerva whether they have standard pricing for the servicing? from my experience it's been quite reasonable, I wouldn't say any more expensive than my Jap bikes? (actually probably cheaper than some of my Jap shitters)

Cheers

I started to take interest in the different types of Open Dry Clutch Bracket available. There seems to be many choices.

Don't just get one that looks good, some covers are designed to protect too. Like this one. :D

Haha that would be me! Except i quit smoking (2yrs 5mnths and counting! yay!) and only cuss alot with people I know well especially guys (those I think who can take it)......... also when I'm really pissed! Seems quitting smoking didn't eliminate my foul mouth!

*inserts lame joke*

Wa not bad ley, I didn't know I had the capacity to make girls faint!

*ends lame joke and feels proud of himself :faint:*

No need for that. Just start using foul language when riding your duke.... you'll knock her out just as well.
