Thanks for the clarification maxbg. But the racing boots take the cake!

Well, I'm not one of those idiots who wanna break their ankles...

I've been racing and crashing too many time to drive without my protection gear.... If you saw my boots, you would know what I talk about. The toe slides are gone, they are wrapped in gaffa tape and there are scratches from some of my chrashes.... and, this is my second pair !

If you wanna ride in trainers... feel free to do so.... I will do what I can to walk away from a crash.

PS.... it's not me in the pictures

Hi guys, hope u don't mind me hijacking the thread for awhile.

I'm seriously looking to get a:

Sport Classic 1000 (without fairing), Monoposte in black. The one with the single rear shock and dry clutch.

Please pass the word around. I'm a ready cash buyer.

Thanks!

Jason.

thats the first stage of safety for us riders. instead of wearing thick jackets in a hot day, at least i get some protection for my legs if anything happens. I ride with long gloves as well. im a singaporean, and singaporean are well known to complain and tease abt other ppl. but safety issues, i wont compromise. i already faced a major accident in sept., and im still back on the road WITH protections. Maybe u had'nt face a major one yet, dats d reason some people like u are making fun of ppl like me wearing the gears, not to show off, but for my own safety. feel free to blast me back if ur offended on my words. peace. :sian:

U must be a real racer. Cool. Maybe about time you invest in a new pair of boots too since the sliders are gone.

I was making fun?

Good to see riders like you on the road with protection. Hope others will emulate you and be aware of the dangers on the road.

How major was your accident that you could be back on the road after just 3 months? My major accident took me 3 months before i could even limp from A to B.

I could also do what is usually done. Replace the toesliders.... But, as I dont race anymore, i dont think there's a need to replace them. The few track days I'll be doing shouldn't be too hard on the boots.....

And, I cant find a better boot (that I can/will pay for)...of course the Daytona carbon is better but at dubble the price

You will... it just takes time. I broke both many years ago 1996 and till date, there are still small piece of the bones hidden right under my skin. Within the first year, regularly small piece penetrated the skin from the inside, leave small purple "pimples" that I could pop.... then small parts came out. Ask me if people freaked out (of course I showed them when I did it :o) )

They also freaked out when I smashed my "hoffman" with my sticks... it didnt hurt at all, but people just starts to get green in their heads :puke: great entertainment.... for me :D
