The vibration keeps making small parts near to my exhaust pipe to become loose. Lost the foot guard on my right rearset couple weeks ago... just lost the heat shield on the right side when riding this evening @#@#$$! ... any Ducati rider out there has similar experience? If so what's your solution?:bow:

Not super glue! Its liquid is blue in colour. To apply on the treads of the screw. U use super glue means u can not remove it.

LOL... I was refering to Loctite threadlockers... like "loctite 243" for medium strength or "loctite 263" for high strength. Good for up to 180°C, so bolts near the exhaust should not be loctite.

Red Rocket and Weian_85 -- Thanks for the clarification:cheeky:. I was not familiar with that brand here in US. When I searched for Loctie last night, Superglue came up...

 

Ya, that's same thing as the thread lock sealer I was refering to above. Have both medium and high strength at home. Will use that instead.

 

Luckily u guys caught that and the part still has not been delivered yet. Or else jiat lat liao lah!

I told the lady this was my first ducati and first time at the servicing station. Within 2 hours I had a call from her saying I need to change a lot of stuff cos they were spoilt.

 

I'm not doubting her, I just wanna ask around before giving her the benefit of doubt, the parts quoted were quite pricey after all.

Hi Everyone,

 

Selling my 1198 full system Termis at $2k without ECU and Stock Ohlins rearshock which come with the S model at $800. Both items used for about 6 months. Sorry no pictures as both items is at Racewerks Ubi.

 

Termsi full system can only be use for 1198 or 1098R. Rear shock can be use for both base 1098 and 1198. Can sms me at 94502451 if interested. Thank you

if u are new to the country, u can get an international license and ride a class 2 bike. but thats only for a year. u then need to convert your license and if u cant covert to class 2, u need to sell ur bike (speaking from experience, sigh, but this is almost a decade ago... )

 

years ago, the conversion of bike license was rather arbitrary. assuming u have a malaysian full b license, if u are lucky, they will give u class 2, unlucky, they give u class 2a, very unlucky, class 2b. they will see how long u have owned your full b license. if more than 3 years, they might (i say might) give u 2A of class 2. if u have an american license, somehow, your chances are higher. probably bad reputation of kopi-o malaysian license the aunties handling the conversions at the counters very powerful. u need to call them kakak 100 times, maybe they will give u class 2.. haha

 

nowadays, i believe it is less arbitrary. if u have your full b license for a certain number of years, they will give u class 2. not sure who u called in TP but u need to go to the driving schools where there will be a license conversion counter (managed by TP) there. previously the counter was at TP HQ, but now they are all in the driving schools. talk to the aunties there. they can provide clear guidance. i last spoke to the license conversion aunties at ssdc in ang mo kio (i think they are now in woodlands)

Total get what your saying...As I said in my earlier post, I did call the traffic police, even if I have a full b license in malaysia, which allows me to ride any class, the office said after conversion I will get the lowest in the Singapore bike class....which to me is a hassle, if I want to get my bike be it the r6 or the ducuti...

 

However when I was spoke to Mary at ducati...she was assuring me that I could buy a bike with my EP...as long the insurans were able to cover it...however I am still a little doubtful...

 

But I am taking a basic theory test in October...just hope I pass and get done with it and and appeal for a higher cc license and see how that goes....
