i can feel the excitement in the air!when's comming?feb/mar?

yr 1198sp is the last in the line!

but for less than a year, probably around dis time next year, the

Superquadrata 'll b here!

so u gonna ask yrself,do u wans to be last in line or first in the queue!

i dunno 've anybody put down any money for d Superquadrata but if u decided to go for it now,i'm sure u 'll b in d 1st shipment! a mini celebrity of some sort, everybody wans to talk to u?

food for thought ,mate.

*some little facts abt d Superquadrata ?

it was ducati 1st entry into motogp & dis twins(round)&another twin(oval) piston was

1st considered ! the oval was drop due to some regulatory issues(how do u measured an oval?)same theory as how u measured a rotary engine?

but later , reckon the twins might 've a power disadvantage to the rest of the mgp machinary.

the" square"twin is 8 yrs in the making,real potent,jac?

Bro, indeed it is the last in line. Since next year they are out of SBK, all efforts will be in developing this SuperQuad. Indeed thoughts came before, but then I will never get to ride seeing how Duc come out with upgrade every 1-2years. That probably will give me a good reason to upgrade :)

The other oval piston bike ie next to impossible to own is the Honda NR, it was a technology feat back then, 8 valves per cylinder :D

BTW, always enjoy reading your post, full of insight.

iamdaman ,its here!

but,its the only 1 dat came in , & its been taken!

HRH Prince William has ordered a Ducati 1198SP superbike, which features a TTX Ohlins shock absorber as well as Ohlins forks.

The bike, which is to cost the prince a cool £17,000, is track-ready and capable of producing 170bhp on its way to a top speed of 190mph.

Also included in the specification is Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Quick Shift, a slipper clutch and an aluminium fuel tank.

It is not the first time Prince William has purchased a Ducati bike. He was spotted riding a black Ducati 1198S to a polo match last year.

His brother Prince Harry is also a motorcycling enthusiast. Earlier this year, Autoevolution.com reported that the young prince had been taking some riding tips from former Suzuki MotoGP rider Chris Vermeulen[/color]

depends on whether your key has a transponder...

There are a few good ones out there. STM, Evoluzione, etc

But take note of the diameter. 30mm will give you a lighter pull but does not disengage the clutch as well.

yup, thats what i ve heard from reading other forums.. it will cuz premature clutch wear .. well i got a stm 30mm slave installed..as i seldom ride so cant really tell u if its true..

maybe can ask the older guys who had it on and ask their opinion

Eh.... So what is the diff between 30mm and the 28mm clutch slave? So i can actually get 28mm or 30mm for my 848evo? What you guys recommend ?

Depends on the clutch pull. 30mm smaller lever effort but piston travel is less thus more clutch wear.

If u wanna save money on clutch plates then go for 28. If you don't ride that often or bike is used for track then go for 30.

my 2 cents

30mm would also be more difficult to find neutral. 28mm would not give u any problem.

Thanks for the info guys, think i will go for the 28mm.

Hope to see yr classic beauty on Sunday!

Meeting up on Sunday?

Hi guys, i just bought a ducati 1098 and im interested in fitting an alarm on it, any recommendation on which alarm is good, reliable and power saving? :)

Orochi, is your bike still under minerva warranty? If it is, i have heard that you are not supposed to use other brand of alarm other than ducati's. You may want to check with minerva before doing so.

On seperate note, scorpion alarm is pretty solid. But its not cheap either. If not you can go spy alarm by zmc securities

Thankyou for all the compliments, this is my first foray into SBK, have been a GS rider all these years.

Hi T28, not any movie-star, more like Internal-Affairs Part 3 [calefe].

Movie-star status is still up for grab for those who be the first to put booking for SuperQuad..:)

U & I have seems to have a few things in common... I also used to ride a GS1150, and I prefer to be last-in-line than movie star cos last model always get the best bits all thrown in! M

Meeting up on Sunday?

see above.... I only going KFC, not going Scape cos I dun really like crowded places, prefer smaller cosy gatherings like our regular meetups.

Hi T28, good to find a common pal, mine was the GS1100, will definitely catch up in the next meetup :)

I will be heading Sepang this weekend for the track event (not on my bike, though).
