I'm havin withdrawal symtoms frm my 916.. i'm nt sure if i can wait that long till nxt yr to get another duke.. Guys, hope you dun mind if i join ur kopi sessions with my kub for e moment.. hahaha

 

Don't ask... just come. I'd also joined on my other bike as my 996 is still having problem. Took back from Ray on Sat but broke down again as I reached home.

Damn. I feel for you. My caliper got stolen the last time. Prob on a kup kia now. So if you do see one with a brembo monobloc, make sure you burn it.

Last Sunday ...

 

I took the Duc overseas ... the winding roads and the different road conditions encountered along the way makes the trip wonderful!

 

Test rode - the new MS and the M696 adds sugar to the experience ...

 

Apologies as no invitation given earlier as I was invited at the last minute ...

Did you make a police report? I have a biker friend whose side mirror was stolen and the police managed to catch the thief and returned the mirror.

Your friend is pretty fortunate. Chances are there's not much they can do 'cause its difficult for them to trace. The IO even goes on to tell me stories about a super 4 which had parts stolen from it 3 times. Best thing is the MSCP is just right next to the police post.

of bike clothes and other stuff..he has quite a fair bit of Ducati t-shirts, Mech Shirts, lanyards,patches..stickers and he can even get other Duc stuff at good prices..go hav a look..mention my name as i hv bot quite a bit of stuff from him oredi..

Gosh, it seem almost impossible to see any 996 or 998 for sale locally. Was told a 2001 996 selling around 20k with total stock condition. Not saying it is ex or anything but, looking at the price tag will naturally thinking if better to pay more to get the 848 or 1098.

The 916/998 series are pretty rare because they did not sell that many during their time. The current 1098/848 are selling like hotcakes and are practically everywhere.

 

My 996SPS is going to turn 10 this year and it has served me well the last 5 years under my ownership. The old girls still attracts attention as it did 10 years ago, but now she is starting to look the age and needs a makeover. Eventhough the newer bike are faster, more powerful and lighter, I still get a rush everytime I take the old girl out for a trash. So the time has come to make a decision...to sell or not to sell?
