The 916/998 series are pretty rare because they did not sell that many during their time. The current 1098/848 are selling like hotcakes and are practically everywhere.

 

My 996SPS is going to turn 10 this year and it has served me well the last 5 years under my ownership. The old girls still attracts attention as it did 10 years ago, but now she is starting to look the age and needs a makeover. Eventhough the newer bike are faster, more powerful and lighter, I still get a rush everytime I take the old girl out for a trash. So the time has come to make a decision...to sell or not to sell?

the cops always like to ambush about 20k away from the pagor exit. theres a very long stretch of straight road leading to the hills. their fav camera spot.

 

but then again, even if ure not speeding...they still stop u anyway just to try their luck.

 

Yo bro. We will escape their radar on sunday. We will travel up by the eastern side of malaysia. Coming back then through Highway and its in the afternoon. By then their TP already taken enough money in the morning liao. We only need to be good during the stretch from senai to GP Shell. On highway, i very good boy wan. So i no worry. ^_^

thanks for your offer, really appreciate it. the previous owner said it is due to the IU connector and/or fuse problem. the battery is less than a month's old. i'll try to troubleshoot myself on saturday and if worse case scenario, i'll ask for help.

Went to test ride the 848 Evo today and found out that it's not the bike that I would want to ride for transportation. Guess I'm not cut out to ride a sports bike after all. Never had a sport bike in my 5-6yrs of riding.

 

Now swaying towards the Diavel. Much more comfortable! Question is .. the carbon version costs $6K more than the base model. Is $6K really worth it? For some carbon fiber panels, better fork and machined wheels?

High quality carbon fiber are not cheap. Look at http://www.shift-tech-carbon.com/onlineshop/index.php?cat=c56_DIAVEL.html and you will understand what i mean. In an nutshell, things that are make for ducati are very expensive. My motard ohlins rear shock cost almost 2k! Since its a premium class bike, then it needs premium class stuffs. If you can, go for one time pain. Get the carbon diavel and save yourselves headache after buying these stuffs later. Incurring labour charge, shipping fees etc

Costs usd1600 pre shipping costs and gst to carbonize the base model. the rims are probably expensive. U can get the base model and spend the "savings" on the sgd4k plus termis... Haha...
