Items arrived in a big big box. So make some space at home first !

Was contemplating to do it myself or send it to DR Ray, but i figured i could used the hand ons on my baby .

new paint work 003.jpg

Since i had a week off so i could do it slowly, first the side panels and belly pan, den the head lamp assembly and finally the tail cowl.

new paint work 005.jpgnew paint work 008.jpgnew paint work 013.jpgnew paint work 022.jpg

Off all the installation, i would say the rear cowl took the most time. The DDA would poses some problem removing.. well what i did i rather not say ahahaha.

Just a breakdown , pls take note i did it with the clumsy hand and limited knowledge i had.

Side panels with belly pan - 4 hrs

Head lamp assembly - 4 hrs

Rear cowl - 6 hrs

Well this was with the OEm screws and wellnuts.

Latter ordered a dzus custom kit and all it took was 3 hrs lol..

Trust me all of us should buy the dzus custom set .

and to top it off, i bought a set of tank guard for motowheels :p

Well i am prepping the bike for a track session and just wanna feel more safe.. whether if it helps... lol i dunno wanna find out !

Well i will personally not recommend this to anyone, the china fairing. Because theres better ones out there. I am working with my budget so no choice. So if you were to ask me, go with delkvic. heres the link.

http://www.delkevic.us/?section=shop&product_category=ducati_fairings_r61xm&product=ducati_complete_unpainted_bodywork_sets&start=0&search_term=&order_by=

They have several paintwork previously, so if you contact them, i believe they can provide you with it.

but bear in mind the price range is around 800 usd for painted and 530 usd for unpainted.

Excluding the shipping which is around 120-150 usd.

Who know maybe i ll get it soon lol... haha obsession already

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Hey how much did the dzus cost you and where you got them? Ya I TOTALLY agree about the fitment probs with the china fairings. Especially with the conventional bolts.

*edit* btw did you have any problems getting the undertray and the tail to fit together? I have a huge gap for my bike.

I have done 650km in a day with my motard. Not tired, no back pain. 150kph is the comfortable touring speed. Anything higher than that, i will be hit by bad windblast. I have touched 180kph with the bike.

Thanks for the feedback. Which model is your baby ohayo? Does the bike feel taxing travelling at say 160kmph constant? This is really a big change from your previous GTR monster. It must feel like a bicycle to you

Got base model.. Have some plans for the "savings"... Btw yohji, please don't post abt this in my fb page... Secret... Hehe.. Thanks

Noted :p Base model is already not any ordinary bike .. I know you got the base mode. Was asking whether you got the black or red. Lucky you!! BTW are the Termis in the pipeline?

Yeah , I have a gap too, maybe will be covering it with some silicon or whatever which is better .

I got the dzus kit from kurvey ger on eBay , 90usd and 30 use more for shipping, it will replace the oem bolts on the side panel, belly pan and head cowl. Just type dzus on eBay and look for the custom kit for Ducati 1198

Red. Wanted the red frame. Bike is in Minerva now. Body to be stripped for respray, anodizing... Call me crazy... Termis ordered...

I am riding motard 1100 EVO base model. With a good full face helmet and riding gears, no problem to maintain 160kph. I did a constant 150-170kph from Machap to Gelang patah shell station. Hahaha...yeah. it does feel like bicycle now. lololol. Feels very strange to ride a naked bike. really insecure..hahahaha

Thanks! Just have a concern of them getting loose and dropping off when thrashing on the track as I've lost a few regular screw bolts already even after regular checking.

If going PG (on weekends) give a shout out. If I can go I'll join.

Wah , how much it cost to respray the frame ? Stripping the bike bike should have cost quite alot on workmanship

Not doing anything to the frame...that's why I bought the red. Just bodywork so it's not a huge job.

Wonder where can I get it.

We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic cords of memory will swell when again touched as surely they will be by the better angels of our nature.
