Not slipper. Standard clutch. I wonder if I need to remove e throwout bearing centre bearing cap? Or Issit even removable frm e OEM plate? I chk w e dealer I got my rizoma from I'm not missing any parts... So now how do I remove e centre cap frm e OEM pressure plate...

 

knock it out, grease it then knock it into the rizoma star pressure plate. thats what raymond did for mine.

in a nutshell , termignoni 're not approve for euro 3 certification , to get e3 , u must 've a catalytic converter in place where only the oem ducati zorst is being certified.

To my knowledge, whatever pipes u want certified must be tested/approved/certified by the manufacturer to be used on the streets and E3 certified. All others will not be legal in anyway. relatively obvious on the ducati accessories catalog. " for race use only", "E1 certified", "type approved".

 

Generally speaking, ducati stainless steel slip ons has a higher chance for approval. You may request Minerva to have it inspected for you. but do note that even if u are using an approved pipe, if u are running without the baffles, its still considered as illegal. the same 500/1000 fine.

This is getting pretty tiring...I ride the bikes I ride bcos of the sound n feel good factor. Ducati will not be a ducati without the termis, just like a silent harley(might as well ride a steed). Although I only ride the bikes on weekends it is becoming very tiresome looking out for the coppers and it diminishes the pleasure I once had when taking the bikes out. Now my rides are short and quick, like quickly get it over before you get caught, no fun at all. The passion has almost been extinguised, the only thing I look forward to are the weekend blasts with Lincoln in Malaysia.

 

Make me an offer for my bikes, I am on the brink of retiring...

Haha. Yah, stereo would be good. Then play termi exhaust sound over the speakers but use stock cans. Best of both worlds. Got termi sound and no need to worry about getting caught.

Kinda sad to see the passion being extinguished..... I mean, u guys have inspired me so much since I joined the group.... But I also know its not fun going out on yr bike as if u just robbed a bank.

 

But realistically, how long can LTA keep up with all these enforcement crap? It takes hell of alot of taxpayers money to do this for a long time. There are simply too many cars & bikes on the road with illegal parts to effectively police.

 

To me, fitting illegal parts is pretty much the same as travelling above the speed limit. It is against the law. But most competent drivers/riders travel slightly above the legal speed limit, say 100kmh on a 80kmh or 90kmh expressway. Do TP stop everyone and fine them for speeding? They can if they want, but how many of us get stopped for being 10 or 20kmh above road speed limit? If we drive/ride in a responsible manner, and not pose a danger to other road users, they normally leave us alone. Live & let live.

 

Yammy, I want yr SPS, but i want it as a collectors' bike, not becos u gave up. Otherwise, i'll only give u 10k for it.
